I couldn't remember much. All I remembered was the dark abyss, that burned me inside out. But as my eyes snapped open, I gazed at the world around me. But as the small rays of sunlight streamed in through the small window within the ceiling of Olympus, my mind swam with endless thoughts... Behind the light, I saw the small fragments of the marble that made up the beautiful ceiling.
But in front of both, was small dust motes, that danced around me. And to the left of me I heard the sound of the sea... Inhaling some of the salt water, made me realise that the unneeded air that whistled down my throat, was of no use to me. For some reason I didn't need to breathe.
My eyes slowly landed upon the gods, my father walking forth. Once he stopped a few feet away, from me he held out his arms, and as I twisted off my back and as the world around me blurred, but I eventually found myself within his arms. "I'm sorry Nico."
"It's okay." I spoke; my voice like silk.
He drew away then and kissed my forehead. "Nico, where would you like to stay?"
"I'll be at camp, that way people don't get suspicious." He nodded, and as I drew away, I bit my lip, and bid goodbye, before shadow travelling into the pavilion.
When I came everyone stared at me but I ignored the looks they gave and when I walked towards the food, I grabbed the ingredients for fried chicken, and when the smell hit me like a ton of bricks I began eating out of the pan burning myself. I didn't care about that but the stares were started to grow on my nerves so I looked to Dionysus who smiled in sympathy. "Guys stop staring." Everyone did so and once I helped the nymphs clean the stuff distracting myself from this, I heard the border. Everyone jumped into action but upon noticing monsters, I searched for my weapons, but Dionysus shrugged, leaving me to grab a frying pan.
I had fought a cyclops with it turning them to ash before I stole his weapons and when they were all defeated Dionysus high-fived me. "Frying pan, nice." I rolled my eyes at him. "The nymphs had hidden the sharp objects." He laughed at me until the gods came but Apollo made me jump causing me to hit him with the pan. "Oh my gods I'm sorry." He straightened his broken jaw out just as I dropped things trying to help him, as Dionysus doubled over laughing.
But the demigods whispered on how I was so dead for hitting a god. "I'm so so sorry." Apollo smiled weakly despite the icore, and the large bruise forming on his left cheek. "Its fine, I shouldn't have startled you." I drew away weakly biting my lip. "It's fine honestly." I still wasn't convinced but we stopped about it, as Artemis saw to his injuries. "The bruise will stay..."
"Sorry."The twins smiled weakly before Dionysus placed a hand to my shoulder. "Let us talk, in the big house." I nodded weakly as he pulled me away...
