Ken sat on the subway train headed for school lost in thought. He couldnt shake the image of Teruko dancing for him, and neither did he want to.

"Is something wrong with you?" Teruko blurted in his ear.

"Nope." Ken replied.

"Pff. You look like an idoit. Stop grinning like that."

"Am I grinning?"

"You cant tell? What happened to you? Did you have a perverted dream or something?"

Ken closed his eyes. It was kind of like a dream, having this mysterious girlfriend of his. And he liked it.

"I give up. If youre gonna be like that ill go do something else."

Ken ignored her and kept relaying the image in his mind. Then a thought occured to him. Would she look better in a yellow skirt? Maybe that should be the next thing he make for her.

Ken stepped off the subway train and started making his way down the usual route toward his school. Suddenly he felt himself grabbed from behind. A hand went over his mouth and then he was lifted off the ground completely and carried off into the shadows.

Ken was thrown to the cold concrete floor of a dark empty room. A tiny amount of light filtered through from a grate high up on one wall.

"Theres an easy way and a hard way." A gruff voice said from one of the men who had carried him and thrown him down here. "Tell us what we want to know and it'll all be over. I dont think I need to mention the 'or else'."

Ken gulped. "Wha- what do you want to know?"

"Where is she stored?" Another voice asked. "The digital entity that you're friends with. Where is her memory located?"

"I dont know." Ken said truthfully. Though if he had he probably would have said the same.

Ken suddenly felt a powerful kick land in his stomach, sending him flying across the room. He grit his teeth as the pain burst through his body.

"Thats not the answer I want to hear." The first voice said angrily.

"Did you find anything on his earpiece?" The other voice said, talking to someone on his phone.

"Hey, is it safe to use a phone?" The first voice whisphered fearfully.

"Shut up, its encrypted." The second voice said.

Ken held his stomach painfully as he tried to sit up. His eyes watered from the pain.

"Hey, who said you could move?" The first man said. Ken could hear footsteps and his tall form stepped into the light from the grate above.

"Ahh!" The other screamed, accompanied by a spark sound and a flash of blue electric light from the other end of the room.

"What is it?" The first man said, spinning around.

Police sirens sounded outside. Ken forced himself to his feet and made a dash acros the room, away from the man that had kicked him.

"Oh no, you don't." The man said, reaching forward and grabbing Ken by the collar.

But he was too late. The room was suddenly flooded with light, and Ken saw the other man, lying on the ground with burn marks all over his head. The door to the room suddenly burst open, and a police officer burst into the room, dressed in full body armour and helmet.

The man tried to pull Ken up to use as a shield but he was too late. The police officer fired a single shot, and Ken felt himself roll back over the man as he collapsed screaming to the ground.
