It's funny how time flies when you get to play a role, or even more when you get lost in that role. Living someone elese's life, feeling someone else's feelings, discovering new dimensions.

There is this huge glass door in our room which makes the transition to a little balcony. From there you can see our back yard and if you looked up at the sky you could discover two new worlds. The first one is the world dominated my sunlight and clouds that usually look like cotton candy and the second one is a dark universe full of stars that shine in very different ways.

Just another morning... As I try to stop the horrible sound my phone does in order to wake me up, my mind comes back to reality and I realize that unfortunately this is just another day. I finally manage to find the source of the worst alarm sound I could have possibly found, but of course, being so early in the morning, I have problems finding the dismiss button and I touch the snooze one. 5 minutes later that awful sound tortures my ears again and I thrown my phone on the floor. Thank God the floor is carpeted and my phone remains in one piece. I have to remember to change that damned alarm ring tone.

I get out of bed and I am surprised to see my sister with my notebook.

"What are you doing Rose?" I ask with my annoyed morning voice.

"Well good morning to you too! This fell from your bed when you turned to throw your phone. What is this?" She said in a cheerful voice, reminding me that what I consider a sort of hell, for her is a little piece of paradise.

"Just some notes... Nothing important." I said grabbing my notebook from her hands.

"Alex... I don't understand why you wouldn't let me read your stories. We've never had any secrets, but somehow those notebooks are forbidden for me."

" Rose... You know I don't feel comfortable with the idea of letting anyone see these notebooks. It is not only you, it is the whole world. These are notes meant to be seen by my eyes only."

"But will you ever let me read one of them?" she asked in a hopeful tone and with those puppy eyes that I simply cannot say no to.

"Maybe... " I said feeling defeated.

"Breakfast!!!!!" Mom's voice came from downstairs.

Reluctantly I got ready and together with Rose we went downstairs, but not before I hid my notebook back under the matres. We ate and then it was Rose's turn to drive. We never opened  the notebook subject again and I was really glad. I know I said maybe, but only the idea of letting someone, especially my happy cheerful popular twin sister, freaks me out. I don't think I'll ever be able to do that.

In the school's parking lot I found Maya and Dana already waiting for me. All four of us entered the school and headed to our lockers just like we always do. I am still thankful for the fact that Rose and my friends do get along good. Finding my history book I hugged my sister and my friends and went directly to the history class, the only one I will attend without any of my friends or my sister. I took a seat in the last desk near the window and plugged in my earphones. Music always  helps me relax. Suddenly I felt eyes on me. Usually that didn't bother me because I was pretty much used to it, but this time I had  a weird feeling. Turning to see who was staring so intently at me, my gaze remained locked on a hypnotizing pair of green eyes. Emeralds were pale in comparison. The guy that had those astonishing eyes also had blonde hair. He was tall and his expression was so cold that it made me shiver. He went to the only free desk and sat there alone. Everyone was watching him, but he didn't seem to have any problem with it. The guy simply got his book out and started to read like he was alone. I wonder how he can do that.

The class started but it was impossible for me to focus. Mr. Mystery kept looking at me like I've grown a second head. The minutes passed so slow that I felt suffocated by the end of the class. As soon as the bell rang, I grabbed my stuff and practically ran out of there without looking back. I only stopped when I reached my locker. Changing the books in my hands with others for the English class, I started texting Maya. We were going to have the same English class so I wanted to ask her if I should wait for her. Suddenly the feeling from earlier lit up my body and I knew  the guy was watching me. What the hell was his problem? I tried to ignore him and by the time Maya arrived from her math class the guy was gone.  She grabbed her books and engaged me in a small talk. It was exactly what I needed to stop thinking  at Mr. Mystery. But of course my destiny used this whole situation as sort of a playground and it was now playing a cruel game with me. As soon as we entered, I stopped in the middle of a step. Surprise, surprise... Mr. Mystery seemed to have  English as well. Maya and I managed to  find a place only in front of the guy, which, as you can imagine, was pure "bliss".

"Who's that guy?" Maya asked whispering.

"I don't know, but he scares me"

"He's been watching you since we came. What if he is a stalker or something?"

"I don't know..." I said and as much as it would have been a reasonable explanation, I somehow wasn't buying it.

By the time lunch break came, I had was 90% sure we have all our classes together. But something was out of place and I didn't know what was it. I simply couldn't solve this puzzle.

Entering in the cafeteria I felt those eyes on me again. He was sitting next to my sister at the popular's table.

" Alexia!!!!" Rose shouted as soon as she spotted me at the entrance. "Come here. I want you to meet someone" She stood up and, reluctantly I headed towards their table.

"Alex, this is C..." she started, but was brutally interrupted by our new friend.

"Chris.... Chris Ryan." Mr. Mystery, I mean Chris, finished the presentation for her.

"He is Ryder's cousin and he came here from Hawaii"

Oh..... Wait..... WHAT???? Hawaii... Like Emma's mysterious guy... No! That is impossible.

Looking him directly in his mesmerizing eyes I tried to be polite and ignore my thoughts.

"Nice to meet you!"

"Yeah..." he answered and turned to look away. What the heck?

Rose didn't even notice this little detail so she continued:

"Ryder and I realized that you and Chris have the same classes."

Oh wonderful.... That is all that I needed to hate this place more.

"So?" I asked a little  annoyed by this confirmation. My tone made Chris turn his attention back to us.

"So we were wondering if you could give Chris a tour and help him a little. He is just as shy as you are." Rose said and I was shocked. What? From all the people she asks me to do that? Doesn't she know that I can't? That I am not the right person? That I am not her?

My questions were stopped by a very angry Chris:

"WHAT? NO! Absolutely not! I don't want her to even talk to me"

What the hell? What is wrong with this guy? And what is so wrong with me?
