I wake up in a bed feeling cold and alone. I have a raging headache and my body feels weak.
When I finally pull enough strength together, I saunter out of bed and out the door.
"Dylan!" I yell for him no answer. I walk over to the stairs to walk down them, but I feel myself loose balance. I am falling, I am about to face plant on the stairs and continue to fall, but large hands grip me tightly on my waist. And pull me up out from the stair path.
I turn around, "Oh, hello Thomas," I say pushing him off me.
"Good morning lov..." he tries but I interrupt him.
"Where is Dylan? I need an aspirin!" I moan.
"You don't remember? He left for a work trip," Thomas states.
"Oh? I don't remember," I pause, then enter panic, "What the hell?! Why can't I remember!?"
"Relax, uh, you can't remember because you were drunk last night," he says scratching the back of his neck.
"What!? I never get drunk!" I outburst.
"Well then your hand hand a mind of its own when you grabbed the glass..." he starts.
"You...you got me drunk to take advantage of me! No!" I scream and I slap him on the face.
He looks hurt and I don't know why I just did that. Tears start to form in my eyes, I walk away but he grabs my wrist.
"Wait! That didn't happen!" he says but I push him off and storm into my room.
The room doesn't have a lock so I push the door closed in case he tries to get in. After a few minutes. He doesn't so I let go and sit in a small corner of the room and start to cry.
Moments later, there is a knock on the door.
"Go away!" I muffle.
"Please! I need to talk to you!" he says.
I don't answer so he walks in he looks really sad with furrowed eyebrows and then he sees me and comes over.
He sits down next to me and I look the opposite direction.
"Listen, I didn't take advantage of you..." he starts but I interrupt.
"Yes you did! Just like him! You're just like him!" I scream and pull my knees to my chest and bury my face into knees.
"Like who?" he asks sincerely.
I stop. And realize what I just said. This whole time I was thinking about Jason, Thomas didn't take advantage of me.
I lift my head up and look back at him tears overpowering my face.
"I'm sorry," I whisper, nonetheless he hears me.
"It's alright, this Jason guy was really a jerk..." he says.
"What the hell!" I scream standing up, "how the bloody hell do you know about Jason!"
"Uh...um...you talked about him. You said his name after you kissed me. You told me he was your first love," he blurts.
"What?! I kissed you!!?" I scream horrified.
"Uh, yeah," he said, "and it wasn't even a large drink, I don't know why you got so waved," he says.
"Me either," I mutter.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry I kissed you and I'm sorry that I told you about Jason I'm sorry that I accused you of...taking advantage of me," I cry out.
"It's alright, love. Don't worry, we all have ex's," he smiles at me.
I dry my tears and smile back at him.
Then I lunge in for a hug. He hugs me back and slides his hand up and down my waist.
I jerk back.
"What? Did I do something wrong?" he says.
"No, it's just that Dylan does that," I state.
"Oh, sorry," he says.
"It's fine," I smile.
