We come in from the store and I take a pill of aspirin.
"Geez! I hope that buggin headache will go away now," I sigh.
Thomas chuckles, "Sorry I let you drink, Dylan said he never drinks with you," Thomas says.
"No! Don't be sorry! It was fun," I pause, "for the most part and we both laugh.
Then a song comes on the radio, the talk lady introduces it, "Good afternoon listeners, now here is a new song by the band 5 Seconds of Summer! Tune in..." she says as the song starts to play.
My breath quickens, I look at Thomas and he raised his eyebrows.
The song is the most surprising song I have ever heard. The lyrics talk about how he wants me back.
From giving the specifics of my rose shirt to the freckles of my back, I know that this song is true words.
The song is almost like an apology letter. I feel the tears coming.
We arrive at home and I slam my hand on the radio turning it off after the song is over.
"No!" I shout. I race out of the car and slam the door closed, I run into the house and close the door. I run to the couch and cry again.
Thomas comes back inside and sits down next to me.
"It's alright, shh, calm down, shh," he says to me. He pulls me into a hug and rubs my back.
"I'm here for you," he says.
