Chapter 3

During the night Hayes was put outside the training grounds by the police. I woke up in a better mood and so did Lou, we walked down to the ground and everyone was there and ready to start training. They started with running and somebody was shooting a gun up in the air singling them to start. Then it was Dorn's and somebody else's turn. The gun went off and then they started running and then Hayes starts running in from behind in his blue pyjamas and runs past the two men and Peter showed us the time "get him a uniform" I said and Lou agreed while Peter nodded. As we went around Lou said to me "go and ask him if he'll be alright will you while I talk with this guy" I just nodded and walked towards where my brother was posted catching the balls and then throwing them back "hey bro, hows the knees holding up?" I asked casually. Jake looked at me in shock that I was actually talking to him "answer me Jake" I said seriously "they're great, never been better" he said casually "mobility's good, no problem getting of the throw to second" I said pushing it more "yea, no problemo" I looked at him and sighed "we need a catcher Jake, somebody who can lead this team on the field, I want the absolute truth here, Are you 100%?" I said looking at him like I did when I'm mad at him "yea, why would I bullshit you about that little sis?" He said snappy back "you better be 100% if you wanna make the team" I said and he got up "2ND BASE" he shouted and threw it and it bounced "shit" he muttered "I won't say anything yet Jake but if I keep on seeing it I'll have to say something" I said as I was about to walk away "I missed you, I know I was an ass when I said that to you but I was thinking about your safety" "I'm not talking about this now Jake" "why not? I've waited 6 years" "well then why didn't you come to the final like mum did" "I was at my own game and wasn't able to make it in time" "whatever Jake" I said finally while walking off. "Sis" I heard Jake whining as I walked away from him.

I joined Lou as he gathered all the team and was having a talk to them "HEY AMELIA" I heard while I looked towards the gate and saw my twat of an ex Josh. All the boys were looking at him and I looked back at him and walked over to him and said "what do you want Josh, can't you see I'm working?" I said. He looked at me and then tried to kiss me and I put my had between us "not happening Josh, you cheated on me twice and only want me for sex, it ain't happening" I said while walking off and wiping my hands on my jeans, just as I reached the team who were all still looking at the situation while I saw my brother and the hot guy glaring at Josh "HEY AMELIA, THINK FAST YOU BITCH" I heard him scream at me and I turned and caught the ball with a not bothered face even though my hand stung like a bitch and all the guys gasped and Josh looked at me shocked and ran off as quickly as he could and then I saw two blurs go past me. Oh god Hotty and Jake have gone after him. I legged it after them and managed to get in front of them and stop them both "leave it both of you" I said while looking at both of them "why should we little sis. Me and Ricky here think he deserves whatever he gets" "if I find out either of you have done anything to him, your off the team, you hear me?" They both nodded and walked off. So the hot ones called Ricky, that's a cute name. No Amelia you cannot fall for him I said to myself as the boys went into lunch while I walked over the to the batting box and grabbed the bat "don't you need someone to field a ball for you?" I heard and I spun a round to be faced with Ricky "well you can field it for me if you'd like" I said "I would but I can't throw it properly and I throw it hard and I don't wanna hurt you" Ricky said while looking at me. I thought about it for a minute until I got an idea in my head "How about I help you?" I asked him and I saw his face light up as he nodded quickly and everyone came out and went back to their post. I put the bat back and told Ricky to follow me. We went to a free practise area and I gave him a ball and he threw it. I showed him some techniques and he slowly started to get better on technique but it still wasn't going in the right direction and then we heard the whistle for the end of the day so I grabbed his hand and squeezed it reassuring him and he smiled at our intwined hands and I let go and ran over to Lou and he gave me the clipboard of who was sadly getting cut from the team. Okay so Roger Jones, James Fearne the list went on till about 10 people and taped a red card in their locker and was about to walk out when I saw Jakes locker and decided to see what was in it so I slowly opened it and saw normal stuff. Deodorant, bandages and then I saw a photo of him and mom and then I saw the exact same photo I have of me and him. I quickly shut the locker and walk out with tears in my eyes and give Lou the signal and he nodded and sent the boys to the locker room. The boys who had been cut walked out with their stuff and their heads held low in sadness and then me and Lou walked in and I was still trying not to cry and Ricky saw that straight away and went to talk to me but I shook my head in a no motion and he slowly nodded his head and me and Lou went over all the normal stuff and we had a match tomorrow so we wanted them here early and they all agreed.
