Merlin was not happy. Once again he had been dragged along with Arthur and the knights on a hunting trip. He was forever supposed to carry everything with his horse and to be quite honest, he felt sorry for the poor creature.

"Come on, Merlin!" he heard Arthur shout from the front "Can't have you lagging behind."

"I wouldn't be lagging behind, sire" he replied back "If I didn't have all of your hunting gear."

There was a smile in the king's voice "Well tough"

Merlin rolled his eyes.

They went another 20 minutes or so, the usual banter going on between the group. Percival and Gwaine teasing Arthur, Arthur telling them to shut up. Leon and Merlin egging them on and then Merlin joining in. At this point, Arthur was reaching the end of his tether.

That's probably why he didn't see the bandits.

6 of them dropped down onto the ground in front of them. Arthur's instincts finally kicked in and he leapt off the horse and started to battle. Soon, all of the other knights started fighting too.

But they didn't have to for long. The bandit Leon was fighting, got a flying arrow in the neck. He looked up in shock and saw a short figure with their face covered with a crossbow in their hands.

The person slid down the slight hill and threw their crossbow aside, pulling out a sword from their belt. A bandit noticed them and came at them.

As they fought, Merlin could feel extremely powerful magic radiating off them. He watched in shock as well as the others as this mysterious person took out all the bandits one by one. They spun and hit one in the head, stabbed one in the stomach, slammed another into a tree, kicked the feet out of another and punched the last in the face.

Merlin only knew of one person who could fight like that.

Arthur put up his sword "Who are you, declare yourself!" he demanded

The person sighed "You know, there really is no need for the extremes." they said. The others were shocked to hear it was a woman's voice but not Merlin, for he was smiling and knew exactly who it was.

The woman, pulling the scarf off from around her face, revealed her beautiful features. Her deep ocean blue eyes twinkled with a mischevious glint and her long raven black hair fell to just below her shoulders.

"Scarlett..." Merlin breathed

She frowned and raised up on her toes to look over Arthur's shoulder. Her mouth fell open in surprise.

"Merlin?" she asked, her face lighting up with a smile.

He raced towards her, catching her in a hug. She raised her eyebrows and hugged him back with a light chuckle. He pulled away and smiled at her "What are you doing here?"

"Same as you looks like" she shrugged

"Hunting?" Arthur asked, lowering his sword with a frown.

Scarlett frowned "I'm not exactly sure getting attacked by bandits is considered hunting, your majesty."

Arthur was taken aback at how polite she was.

"I was on my way to Camelot actually..." she sighed. She looked up at Merlin "To find you.."

He smiled widely and she rolled her eyes at him.

"Oh don't start" she scoffed, rolling her eyes.

"I wasn't going to say anything" he said, still smiling like a fool.

"Mm, well unfortunately for you, brother, I know you far too well." she said, giving him a pointed look

"Brother?" Arthur repeated. Merlin looked at the king "You have a sister and you didn't tell me?" Arthur scoffed, raising his eyebrows.
