Chapter 11: Talk

"Hey dad. "

He looks at me with a stern face, sitting across from me. He opens his mouth to speak. And what he says next catches me by surprise.

"Wassup biatch!"

What the hell? Is he high?
Suga just facepalms pinching his forehead, leaning against the window.

"Dad, are you okay? Are you high again?"

"What are you talking about isn't this how y'all kids talk to each other nowadays. "

"Wha-No what made you think that? "

"On My Block, it's a show on Nootflix."

Oh my gosh, is he for real?  "Okay dad,  how bout no."

"Fine." He says sighing.

"Sooo, Anyways why are you here?" I ask wiping my hand over my face. "Did something happen?"

"Can't I just see my son without something having to happen? "

"Dad... " I say staring him in the eyes, with a serious tone."What.Happened."

He sighs and looks out the window. Then at Yoongi, only to turn back around to me, now looking at me with a serious look in his eyes.

"We have someone from the other group."

"One of the Jeon's Successors right?"

"Ye-wait how did you know?"

"Because I am roommates with their son. Jeon Jungkook. He has a file on me. "

"How do you know of the files?"

"I read through it after we- after I woke up for class butt I went  back to sleep before he could wake up. "  I didn't dare mention that we slept together. My dad is cool and a good father, but he is super homophobic.
There is no way I can tell him I'm bisexual.

"Good work son,  you make me proud." He smiles. I smile half heartedly knowing that if he truly knew he wouldn't be saying this.

"Anyways why do you have Jaebum? He's not related to them, is he?"

"Yes, but not by blood. His mother married into their family,  by marrying Jungkook's Biological father."

"So what's the plan why do we have him?"

"We need to make a deal with them, they have what we need."

"Then why take their successor, why not negotiate."

"We tried that, but we didn't see eye to eye, so this is what we're doing now."

"So you basically went from negotiation to kidnapping?" I say raising one eyebrow up.

He just nods his head in agreement. "Yes basically, and it wasn't - isn't kidnapping. He was snooping around in things he didn't have any business in."

"Weeeell you still have him in your custody without his permission,  so it is kidnap-"

"Taehyung."

"Okay okay. " I say raising my hands in defense looking to Yoongi for help.

He looks at me and leans forward away from the window. Letting out a big sigh.
"Alright,  well I'm still here and Taehyung wants me to save him so I think," Yoongi looks at the driver through the rearview mirror, and I give him a dude really look. "-that we're going to stop here and let him off. " The car stops and I get out the car and Yoongi follows after. He gives me a hug and says get home safe and gets back in the car.

My father rolls down his window, to tell me something. "I want you to take a break from your rounds."

"Yes sir. "

"Oh and Taehyung finish school and take care of yourself alright? "

I smile my big box smile nodding and he ruffles my hair. He rolls up his window and drives off.

I watch the car turn a corner. The stop lights change to red. It begins to rain.  I let a snort. "Mother nature get it together please. "

I walk back towards the cafe to see Kookie since I have nothing else to do.
I stop in front of the cafe and see Jungkook with Jimin. I don't see his other friend, I guess he left. I walk into the cafe but stop.

"-I don't like him." Jungkook says to Jimin.

"Then why-" I couldn't hear everything they were saying the rain was blocking out some of their words.

"-get close to him because he's affiliated."

Jimin just looks at Jungkook with shock but an unsure look. I'm guessing because of the word Jungkook said. Affiliated is he talking about me,  does he not like me? The way I thought he did, was he only using me to get to my family? "I-"
I'm cut off from my thoughts when Jimin and Jungkook are walking toward the door.  Towards me. Jungkook sees me.

"Oh-hey Tae what are you doing here, I thought you were bus-" He leans in to peck my cheek,  but I back away.

"What's Wrong Tae?" I guess he saw my hurt expression. I instantly perk up and smile my box smile. "Huh?  What nothing wrong, I just-umm I have to go."

I leave before he can see a tear run down my face. I didn't say bye or anything I just left and walked down the sidewalk. The rain continues to pour harder.

"Mother Nature you just know when to drown people."
