First Talk

Amanda's POV
"Hey Amanda! Guess what?" Replied Kayla when we saw each other at lunch.
"Oh, what, got another boyfriend?"
"Omg, no... But you will!"
"What are you talking about," I demand as I stare in confusion.
"Let's just say... Don't be mad at me! I-," but I cut her off.
"Well saying 'don't be mad at me' makes me mad! What did you do?"
"I want you to have a boyfriend," Kayla pauses, "so I told Jack that I want to go on a road trip with him, but wait. I told him that there's going to be a third person, you!"
"Shut up... Shut up!"
"But I didn't say anything," I freak out. Me and Jack on a trip together, perfect. How could I possibly be mad at Kayla?
"So do you have a plan of where we're going?" I ask Kayla. She (of course, being so overly dramatic) takes a breath.
"All over the U.S," This is the part she was talking about.
"Kayla! My mom is going to murder me!"
"I'm sorry! Are you still up for it?"
"What will I tell my mom?"
"I was planning on doing it over spring break, perhaps I will be sick? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink," I am going to die. Lying to my mom?
1. My mom hates it when I go anywhere but school and home. There is a reason...
2. My mom is a total control freak. She won't let me have a boyfriend until 20, I am 16!
My mom will find out I'm lying in an instant. There is a slight chance that I will just leave a note and go. "Kayla, I think I wanna go." But the bell rings. I have adrenaline running through my body like blood. Its crazy. I know that I might not have a boyfriend, but I'll have memories. Oh no. And what if my mom finds out? Then she can't do anything. I hope that Jack isn't just a jock. I've met guys that were funny but full of themselves. Kayla is doing the right thing.
Kayla's POV
*When she asks Jack*
"Hey, Jack!" I approach him during one of our classes.
"Hey Kayla! You got a boyfriend yet?" Yes, a tad bit weird but that is Amanda's type.
"Do you wanna have fun over spring break? Its not boring, promise!" "Well, well, well, Kayla. Finally got a crush on me? I'll come over." Ugh, I'll do it for Amanda. How does she like him?
"I'll give you a hint; R.V trip."
"Kayla, I'm sooo totally down."
"Thanks! Come to my house, first day of spring break." I leave to do my work.

When I ask Amanda it's a wave of relief. This is going to be the best. I have an R.V. for all of us. My mom will drive us all around the U.S. I also secretly invited my boyfriend. What can I say? I look in the bathroom mirror to check my looks. Blonde hair, green eyes, slim beach body, all perfect. But I think Amanda will have to have help packing. I am not a rude person but, Amanda has a weird fashion sense. I know that its her aesthetic, the idea is there but no actual style. Get it? She might shop at like Goodwill. A few days before we go on the trip I'll check her bags. We will shop for a great outfit for a date! Omg, I'm like soo happy! Ttyl, love ya!
