Okay so huge rant here, I just finished Yuri On Ice literally a minute ago. I friggin loved it, the amount of tears I just passed were unbelievable.
Anyway, anyone know when the movie and season 2 are coming out?
Back to the story though.
Victor x Yuri (23 year old)
Obviously this was gonna come first, they are the IT couple.
Yuri idolized Victor for more than half his life. With Victor becoming an ice skate legend, Yuri watched him and even made it to the coveted Grand Prix. This is one of the most competitive skating comps with the best six skaters in the world competing. Yuri totally screws up and at the after-party challenges Yurio to a dance off and the other 5 competitors. At the end he asks Victor to go to Japan and become his coach (keep in mind he was drunk). You figure this out more than halfway through the show, and why? This is because Yuri is an unreliable narrator.
He forgets the whole thing, so when Victor shows up 1 year later to become his coach, it seems totally crazy , but it wasn't.
Anyway, Victor comes and makes Yuri and amazing skater, ad throughout it Yuri develops a huge crush on Victor. Victor himself even becomes greatly infatuated, hugely enough to give Yuri a kiss on the rink when he completes Victors signature move. In episode ten they buy engagement rings and Victor tells.him if he wins the Grand Prix he will marry him. Yuri tells Victor that even though he loves him, he wants to end their coach protege relationship. It is later explained that Yuri said this to encourage Victor to become himself again. Yuri comes in 2nd, and Victor says that he is coming back to compete, and he tells Yuri he has to go to 5 World Championships for him to he his coach.
Season 1 ends with them skating to the routine that started their whole journey, at a partner competition.
It is unclear whether or not this was real or not.
The final scene shows Yuri running up to embrace Victor and see Yurio, the screen goes black and yu here Victor excitedly say Yuri!

1. Yuri is 23 and Victor is 27
2. Victor retired after 5 consecutive Grand Prix wins to coach Yuri
3. Victor is a ln ice skating god
4. Victor is russian
5. Yuri is japanese
6. Victor is literally the epitome of a hot greek god
7. Victor is very experienced
8. Victor is somewhat airheaded
9. Yuri has watched Victor from a sideline for nearly 11 years
10. Victor and Yuri are both males and that is okay
11. They fell in love because they both respect each other and have amazing chemistry.
I totally recommend Yuri On Ice.
Watch the dub!!!!!
It really shows the different accents and personalities of the characters.
It is totally adorable and will keep your heart racing the whole time, not to mention Yuri and Victor literally have moments every episode
