The Final Three

Chapter Four

"Boys! Line up! Come on sleepy heads! It's 6:30 in the morning. to me for training!" Sgt. shouted.

Today's the day I get to call my wife and daughter. I got dressed as fast as I can. As soon as I got ready I ran outside. I wasn't the first one but I wasn't the last one either. When all the boys arrived we did role call. After role call he called my name and told me if I wanted to I could call my wife and daughter I said yes. I gave him my ticket and he hole punched it. He told me that the password was 681307. I punched in that code. The phone started to dial. My only hope was for my wife to answer. She answered. We were talking for thirty minutes to an hour. It was a bad talk. Sadly, my wife told me that it's been to long and she can't take it anymore. She told me she wants to get a divorce and she's taking my daughter away from me.

When I arrived back at camp Sgt. came up to me and asked me if I was okay and how they were doing. I told I was doing okay. My family is also okay. That was a lie. Sgt. told me to join the line. I did exactly what he told me. We trained till 9:30. When I got home I was exhausted. I didn't even bother changing or getting under that covers. I just flopped down on my bed and fell asleep.
