Finally summer, summer of 2014 to be exact. Oh, I should introduce myself, sorry how rude. My name is Maria and I’m a 16 year old from Omaha, Nebraska, born and raised. This summer I’ve planned to go to the Bahamas for 2 weeks maybe longer if I can convince my mom. I’m very surprised she’s letting me go alone with my best friend Sammy, AND with no adults. I’m planning for this to be the best summer ever. I’m also hoping to see some hot guys if you know what I mean ladies. *Wink wink*

“Maria, we have to go in 20 minutes if you want to make it to our flight on time,” Sammy told me annoyed because I decided to pack last minute.

“Don’t rush me; I don’t want to forget anything. I’m almost done,” I replied running around my room. Once I got everything done we stood there and just stared at our luggage.

“Umm…soooo, who is carrying all of this down?” I asked Sammy. Sammy looked up at me and just gave me an evil smile and ran out of the room yelling, “NOT ME,” Sammy yelled already downstairs. I knew I wasn’t strong enough so I took the luggage with all the clothes and slide them all the way to the stairs and pushed them down the stairs to where Sammy was standing. Once they were down the stairs Sammy took them or more like kicked the luggage outside while I went to get the other luggage that had our laptops and chargers and other stuff we needed.

“YAY FOR TEAM WORK,” I yelled carrying the luggage down the stairs out to where Sammy was.

After we got everything into Sammy’s dad’s car he walked out with my mom. My mom didn’t look to happy. Ever sense my dad left she’s been very protective of me, I get that she’s worried something will happen to me but sometimes I just need some space from her. I’m hoping this trip will give me a break from both of my parents.

Saying bye to my mom was hard. I know it’s only for 2 weeks but I’m going to miss her waking me up every morning and getting me coffee when all I’ve done all day is lay around my room on twitter.

After we said our goodbyes Sammy and I headed to our gate to board our flight. I’ve never on a plane before so I’m probably going to squeeze the crap out of Sammy’s hand because I’m also scared of heights so that doesn’t make this any better.

“Maria, look” Sammy said while pointing at this huge crowd of people. She took my hand and started pulling me towards the big crowd. If you knew Sammy you’d know she’s nosy as heck.

“Sammy, we’re going to be late what are you doing?” I asked trying to pull my hand from her and walk towards our gate. She turned me around and grabbed my shoulders.

“Holy shit, Maria! That’s Jack…”
