hunny tymon
chapter one

I looked at the blonde girl in front of me, she had a printed label on her uniform, reading 'Eva'. I smiled as she gave a light laugh and walked away with my tray of empty plates and cups.

The cafe was now empty, just me and the staff, who were cleaning the varied tissues and paper cups on the floor. Eva, who was my all-time favourite employee here and best friend- was collecting some tissues from of the floor and stuffing them into her small pocket.

"You looked deep in thought there Hun." Eva chimmed, slipping off her apron to grab her coat and bag. She swipped them on quickly, as the door opened letting the little bell above ring a small tune.

"Yeah." I murmured, following her out.

We walked back to fairly empty car park, just a few cars here and there. One making me smile instantly, Ryder's car. "Ryder was here?" I asked smiling, still keeping my eyes on the black car parked a few rows down.

"Probably here for you." Eva smiled back, knowing how me and Ryder were the stars of the show in a kindergarten christmas play, which meant nothing.

I was Mary, Ryder was Joseph.

I still remember like it was yesterday, how Ryder gave me a sloppy kiss on the cheek before running along to his Mum and Dad.

He was still my best friend, who never let me have any boyfriends, who stuck up for me when people were spreading nasty rumours about me and when I got last place in Sports day. He was still cheering even though I was last, reminds makes me of how lame he is.

Eva knocked my shoulder, letting my eyes wander to the man himself. He was in a leather jacket, a black t-shirt hung low with black skinny jeans. "Hey." He whispered out, looking just at me.

His brown eyes glistened, as he finally acknowledged Eva, who was still cheesily smiling like a clown. He nodded to her as she patted my shoulder and whispered into my ear, "Have fun with Ryder." Before she sprinted off to her small ford focus.

"Why are you here, Ryder?" I asked curiously, letting my eyes wander back to his car in all its glory. His eyes slowly stopped glistening, his mouth parted as he furrowed his eyebrows.

"I always pick you up from work." He stiffly said, shoving his hands into his pockets roughly.

"No you don't, I go home with Eva. This is the first time this week you decided to pick me up." I say correctly.

He mumbled something, before storming back to his car. Ryder always had a temper, when things didn't go his way or he didn't get what he wanted, he'd fight for it.

That's how I found out about his super strong strength from the punching bag in his basement.

Ryder is a good guy, I promise.

I followed him wondering what he was going to do, he punched the side of the car quickly, letting a massive grunt when blood rushed out from the cuts.

"Why did you do that?" I say furrowing my eyebrows, grabbing some tissue from my bag to stop the bleeding.

"Just, let me pick you up from work, okay?" He said, letting silence fill the gap afterwards.
