Chapter Three: Capture the Flag
Everyone heard the stories and the rumors, and it doesn't help that everyone comes to me for information. This is what Annabeth told me: Clarisse tried her initiation on Percy but it didn't work, instead the water shot past him and hit Clarisse, her friends, and Annabeth. Annabeth decided that he would be good bait for the Ares cabin on Fridays capture the flag and let him on our team. Clarisse is going to kill him.
It's Friday, capture the flag is tonight, and Percy hasn't been claimed yet. I'm suiting up in my armor getting ready to get back the flag.
"Hi Prim." Connor walks over to me.
"Hi Connor, are you ready to win?" I blush at him.
"As long as you choose Hermes for your symbol today." I think about this. Since I'm not in a cabin I get to choose what cabin to represent if I get the flag.
"Deal, let's win." I smile at him. I swear he blushed.

I'm on offense today so I ran up with Annabeth and Luke to get their flag. We know that Clarisse will send an army after Percy on the river so there shouldn't be that many campers left.
I see the flag, it's on Zeus's fist up ahead. Then we get caught.
"Keep going." I yell to them and hold off the attackers.

They got the flag! Annabeth let Luke get it though. Now Hermes cabin gets to choose teams for next week. I walk over to the creek where people are gathering and I'm lost in thought when suddenly a hellhound jumps out.
Chiron shoots it down. Who summoned it? Everyone will want to know and I have to find out. If I don't we might tear each other apart.
"Its all Percy's fault! Percy summoned it!" Clarisse yelled. I roled my eyes.
"Be quiet, child." Chiron told her. Annabeth was still watching Percy.
"You're wounded. Quick, Percy, get into the water." Annabeth told him. He tried protesting.
"I'm okay." He said.
"No, you're not. Chiron, watch this." Reluctantly Percy stepped back into the water and everyone was shocked, even me. It started healing him! Water doesn't heal me. I only have power over it.
The water was healing him until the green trident above his head stole the attention away. I gave Annabeth an I told you so glare. She frowned at me. Oh. I get it, Posiden and Athena, it won't work. That's why she didn't want it to be Posiden. I'll have her sleepover tonight. (every month Chiron lets me have one sleepover and one day to sit not at the head table. Unless I do some negotiating).
"Your father. This is really not good." Annabeth murmured. For what reason is it not good? I thought to myself.
"It is determined." Chiron told the camp. They all started kneeling.
"My father?" Percy still looks confused. Sometimes boys can be so oblivious.
"Posiden. Earth shaker, Stormbringer, Father of Horses. Hail, Perseus Jackson, Son of the Sea God." Chiron announced.
