Chapter Nine: Communication
I was running to the Big House the next day when I saw Luke talking to an Iris Message. I looked closer. It was Percy! They taught him to I'M. If they're not on the run right now I can Iris Message Annabeth. I ran to my room, and threw a drachma in the fountain.
"Oh Iris, goddess of rainbows, accept my offering." I say. Thinking closer to where Percy was standing in the Iris Message Luke was talking to. "Show me Annabeth Chase, at a gas station?" I guessed. It made the most sense. To my surprise the mist shimmered and I saw Annabeth.
"Annabeth!" I said.
"Prim! How are you?" She asks.
"Good, camps going ok too." I reply nonchalantly.
"And the okay means you and Connor are not together yet." She says.
I roll my eyes. "No. How's the quest going? I miss you."
"Fine," she sighs. "We haven't gotten very far though." She says.
"And by 'we haven't gotten very far' means you guys aren't together yet." I guess, smiling.
"No Prim! Percy met Echidna and Chimera on the arch, and now were supply less and we have no ride to LA." She sighs. "I miss you too. Being a hero is hard."
"I know. But Annabeth, I don't think this will be the end. Chiron still looks scared and the gods aren't reacting very well. I'll pray for you guys tonight though."
"I hope your wrong Prim, but you never are about things like this." She says.
"Bye Annabeth. Good luck, and come home soon, please." I'm begging you, I silently add.
"Ok, I'll see you at home then." She smiles sadly.
"Bye." And I slice through the mist.

That night at dinner I threw my food into the flames and said, "Please, help Annabeth on her quest, bring her back." I prayed. Was it my imagination or did the smoke turn a little red? Ares, red. This might not be good seeing as though Mr. D already wants Percy dead. Good luck to them.
"Prim, hurry up!" Connor whines, he's behind me in line. I walk back to the Hermes table.
"So, did you talk to Annabeth today?" He asks.
"Why? Who's betting on me?" I ask smiling.
"I'm betting yes and the rest of the cabin is betting no." He replied.
I smile. "Yes, I did talk to her today."
After that there was a lot of yelling and no fairs but Connor was smiling at me the whole time, I was blushing. He made like 100 drachmas.

A thought came to my mind as I was in my room that night. Seven more days. Seven days until the solstice and they have no transportation or any other leads. I hope they make it. Annabeth will know what to do. Hopefully. But she's been training for this oppertunity since she was little. I hope she makes it back. Seven seems to be a lucky sort of number for me.
A/N- and done! Not. Oh don't you love hints! Halfway through this book though. Don't worry. I have these written out before I post so even if I forget to post it will be soon. R&R!
