Prologue

As I slid on the leather jacket - that has been hanging in the back of my closet for who knows how long - over my square shoulders, I stared at my unrecognizable reflection in the mirror.

Normally, I would think this look would be considered trashy and dangerous, but I liked the new appearance it gave me. After all, it is my first day at my new school and I want to redeem myself now that my old reputation is clear.

My parents decided it was a good idea to move all of a sudden, they explained it as 'A new beginning.' A new beginning my ass.

I actually enjoyed myself in our old town. That being Pearland, Texas. Now that we've gone and moved across the seas to Brighton, England, I'm the only one who sees this 'great opportunity' as a dead end.

Well, not exactly, but I had plans after I graduated. You see, it's the middle of my senior year, so I already knew where I was going to attend college. I was formerly going to go to Texas A&M with my best friend, Cassidy.

Oh, how I miss her. She was like the sister I never had. Just kidding, I actually have three sisters. But, we did everything together. We were those types of friends who were going to marry a cute set of twins and own neighboring beach houses and matching French bulldogs. Not really, but you get the idea.

I was going to name mine

Edgar.

Unfortunately, it's just my luck that when I was just starting to enjoy school, we move halfway across the world.

It's not that I don't like it here, I just wished they would have moved when I'm already off to

College doing my own thing.

I was just an average kid, wanting to succeed in life. Now it feels like I have to start my life all over again.

"Rebecca! You're going to be late for your first day of school!" My mom calls to me from downstairs. Goodness, she makes it seem like I'm starting kindergarten or something.

"Okay, mom, I'll be down in a second!" I called back, loud enough so I know she would hear me. Okay, so maybe I lied about being only a second longer, I still had to fix my hair and makeup.

After I did so, I took one last glance at my reflection, and with a nod of approval, I headed out to start my adventure; school.

Hello!

My name is Camille, but you can call me Cami. :)

I know this story and this account are both brand new, so I know I won't be getting any attention for a while. But I wanted to say I'm really excited to work on this story!

I've written stories before, but none of them were this exciting to me.

I really hope this story makes it as far as I want to go, and if not, well I tried!

Be aware that this is just the prologue and the chapters should be a lot longer!

And don't worry about my babbling at the end of each chapter, I won't do it very often. only when I have news to tell!

Thanks for reading and make sure to fan, vote, comment, and all of that good stuff!

Lots of love xxx

~Cami (can't wait to write this story!)
