It Can't Be (Part 3)

Sabine knew what she had to do. She had to tell one of the man she loved good bye. She took out her comm and singled Ezra and Shane to meet in the ghost. Sabine was already waiting when the two men arrived. "Okay... This is going to be hard but I need to say it...... I love you both so much and you both me so much to me but I have to say good bye to one of you." she said crossing her arms. "Okay Sabine....me and Ezra have talked and we will support you on what ever you decide." Shane said. "Thank you both for that....Okay ...... Ezra i-I....." she paused trying to look for the right words. "Sabine I'm going to save you from this frustration. Its clear you love Ezra....I wasn't there for you and he was. You and Ezra deserve to be with each other and I don't want to mess that up......but remember call me if you need me." Shane finished and walked out of the room. Sabine was slightly shocked. Ezra on the other hand was relieved... He didn't have to worry anymore. "So do you want to talk or just act like it didn't happen?" Ezra asked. "Umm.... Yeah like it never happened." she said making a smile and kissing him. He smiled and left the room. She felt empty for some reason, her kiss with Ezra didn't feel right.... It wasn't true live anymore. True love just said goodbye and walked out of the door. This didn't go as planned. She was going to tell Shane to say but he put other before himself like he always did. She some times hated him for that. She had to say something to him even though she was with Ezra. She left the ghost and found shane working on his ship. "Hey." she said. "Hey what's up?" he asked. "You never did give me the chance to say what I wanted in there."  she said crossing her arms. "I know....it just.... Ezra needs you. More then I do....I didn't want to mess that up for you two." he said in the most caring voice he could. "But what about what I need Shane..... I need you..... I need the person I fell in love with." she said tears rolling down her face. "Oh Sabine..... You don't need me anymore... Look at what you have accomplished with out me. I am so proud of you.... But you need let me go.... You have Ezra now.... He loves you some much.....and I lost my chance with you long ago..... Don't lose yours with him." Shane finshed. He slowly walked up to her. She was speechless. "I will always love you." he said and kissed her softly on the lips one last time. "I will always love you too Shane.... Good bye." she said bitting her lip. Shane smiled and turned around and board his ship and left. There she was with her first love gone again.

Love works in strange ways, But at the end of the day it is all that matters.
