In some parts of the world, students are going to school every day. It's their normal life. But in other parts of the world, we are starving for education...it's like a precious gift. It's like a diamond. – Malala Yousafzai

"BEEP BEEP BEEP" went my alarm as I smacked it 5 times. My black hair was all over the place as I struggled to get out of bed. "Sweetie would you come down stairs?" my mom yelled from downstairs . "Nope" I yelled back, "let me fix that sentence" she said. "sweetie GET down stairs she yelled back" I got up as I heard her yell.

Why does school have to be in the morning I'm pretty sure if students took a vote we would all rather want to start it in the afternoon. Teachers hate us I know it. My mom tossed waffles and had bacon sizzling on the stove. "Are u ready for your first day of  11th grade?" She asked me. "I haven't really got a chance to get ready yet". "I'm sorry honey I'll let get ON FEEK" she said. "Ewww"I say back to her
" Isn't that what you kids say nowadays?"  She asked me. "not really that's just dead" I say back. Ohh is that  another slang "just dead"she asks.  "please stop" I say as I leave the kitchen and head back upstairs. I pick out a red and black flannel and pair that with my black leggings, with my red vans and I throw my hair into a high ponytail.
I run to the bathroom as I try and beat the time since I only have 10 minutes left.

I run down stairs grab 2 pieces of bacon with a waffle and head out the door. "Wait sweetie"my mom says. She runs outside and hops in the car. " I'm driving you to school" she says as she turns the radio up. " NO" I say as I stand there with my book bag on the ground. "Yes honey it's a mother's privilege to drive their daughter to school ESPECIALLY on their first day!" I didn't feel like arguing so I just hopped into the passengers side with a frown on my face. She cranks the music up louder and drives quickly while  dancing to old people music.

We arrive at the high school & it looked nice. I'm definitely not gonna give it high expectations because it is highschool after all. "Bye mom "I say as I hop out the car. "By sweetie love u" she says as she kisses me on my left cheek. "Love you too " I say as I check my surroundings to see if anyone her the mushy cringe worthy mother -daughter talk.

I go straight to my first period class which is math. I groan as I read the schedule. Why do I have to have math first? Now let me brace myself for the most annoying part of the day walking into my first class. I just bust the door open and walk right in. I scan the room for an empty seat then I see one in the back.

"Bro do u think u could tap that?"

" look at her she's thick"

"Bro she's mine"

" dang the new girls a future baddie"

I heard all of those things in the 30 seconds it took me to get to my desk which felt like hours. I sit next to this girl wearing all pink with platinum blonde hair. As I sit down I hear the teacher call my name "Camryn Miller would you like to introduce yourself ?" "Nope" I shout back with a smirk on my face. " Well then, you can have a seat. The students eyes were fixated on me and I could here the students mumbling.
The blonde who sits beside me is named Rachel so BASIC.

The bell rings and I gather my things and head to ELA. In that class I was forced to introduce myself. Ms. Reed was very strict and I didn't plan on getting into a heated argument on the first day. I said the simple things like where I lived before, favorite color, and my name. I sat down and we watched some stupid documentary while the teacher played some loud game on her phone.

I ended up falling asleep until the class period was over. I didn't make any friends because at the end of the day I don't like people in general we just don't get along. Eventually, after being in the hell hole for 7 hours straight I was released with my perky mother bopping her head and dancing to old people music once again.

"Come on sweetie we're going to church"

I just froze " when do we EVER go to church mom?" I asked. "It starts today honey we're gonna be HOLY HOLYYYY" she says. I hop into the car with disappointment written all over my face.
