Each friend represents a world in us, a world not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born. - Anais Nin

I walk towards my "wannabe holy mother" with a giant grin on my face. She waits for me to make my way to here. As I get there I realized that the preacher is short he's about 5'7 ,stubby, with a lot of grey hairs. I wondered... How can you be this stressed out if you're holy?My mom and Preacher Heights start talking again. "Hey Honey go meet the preachers son okay?" So I decide to get up and just follow her orders.

I walk towards him and he immediately gets up and walks near the stage. "Hey" I say quickly trying to start a conversation. Hey is like the bootleg word for hello of if you just don't really care you would say "hey". He looks up at me and his hazel eyes shimmer in these holy lights. "What do you want?" He snaps. "Ummm my mom wan- I just had to, never mind" I mumble. How can he make me get so nervous NOBOBY and I mean NOBODY can get me this nervous. I grab my phone out of my back pocket and it immediately slips out of my hands. My hands were sweaty, now this is just embarrassing. I grab my phone and I can feel him starring at me.

All of a sudden I remember my hair was a mess from the Demon child that wouldn't leave me alone. I quickly open up the camera on my phone and attempt to put my hair up. When did I care about my appearance? Why am I so worried now? How can he make ME feel like this? The questions circulated in my head as I still attempt to put my hair up. I sit when the preachers son was sitting before and just play "Geometry Dash" on my phone. I could still tel his eyes were on me. My hands were still sweaty and I could tell my face was red.

Later which felt like D E C A D E S. My mom called me over to say goodbye to Preacher Heights. I quickly said my goodbyes. My mom thanked him for the survive and walked towards the door. "Hey girl, the names Preston, you left your crappy earbuds over here" he said. I ran so quickly I couldn't see my surroundings I grabbed them and dashed out the door my face was as red as it could ever be.

BEEP BEEP BEEP my stupid alarm clock went off and the new morning had just begun. I grab my black and white vans with black jeans and a white shirt. I run to the bathroom like usual and speed through everything else. I kiss my mom goodbye, and head out the door. I walk into the hell hole and prepare myself for another miserable day. I realized that this school is separated into groups we have the jocks, the smart jocks, the dumb jocks, the stupid preps, the dumb preps, and nerds, then there's me the OUT CAST. I will NEVER be in a group I'd rather single myself out and get shit done.
It's so aggravating sitting by this BASIC ASS GIRL. She always twirls her hair and smells like H A P P I N E S S. Like how can you be this perky it's SCHOOL? She taps me and says "hey could u turn that rock and roll stuff down it's killing my makeup session." My blood was boiling and my face was BLOOD red. I noticed something about myself people just talking in general or breathing or looking happy ANNOYS me. I keep my earbuds in and act like I didn't hear a word she said. Class was dismissed and I went to lunch .

Honestly school is just like prison. They give you nasty food, everyone is rude and grumpy and you have to follow a schedule with orders. There is no freedom at all. I grab my plate of fried chicken and bootleg tater tots called "potato rounds" I smell the food and I immediately gag. I take the whole tray and throw it into the trash. As I've been around the school people have realized that I don't actually care.

CHIME CHIME I grab my shit and run out the door. "Hey sweetie" my mom says with a big smile on her face. "Hey?" I shoot back. I immediately knew something was going on her smile was so big it looked like her teeth could just shatter RIGHT now. "We're going to Panda Express" she says. "Okay that's it,you're creeping me out a little bit" I say back. "Oh yeah I forgot to mention we're going to Panda Express with The Heights" she says. "Uhhhhh why, can't we just eat together?" I ask. "We will with THE HEIGHTS" she says. "Mom you know that's not what I mean" I say as I frown and put my head down in the passengers side.

We make it down to "Panda Express" and we see The Heights outside waiting for us. Preston is on his phone leaning against his yellow "Chevy Camaro" and Mr.Heights is leaning against his all black "Chevy camaro." My stomach drops as we find a parking spot because we're getting closer. We hop out the car my mom says a friendly introduction for the both of us. My hands feel sweaty as Mr.Heights opens the door. The place is packed and there is only two tables left. My mom and Mr.Heights grab a table but that one only has two seats which means Preston and I have the sit at a table together alone. "Go order your food honey." My mom says handing me her credit card. "Can I get anything I want?" I ask. Her face turns red and Mr.Heights and Preston look confused. Every since my dad left us we had to get certain things on the menu that were cheaper so my mom could pay for the rent. "Here just take this" Mr. Heights says. I glance at what he's giving me and it's a $50 bill. He told me I could keep the change. I walk up to the register and I'm about to say my usual order "can I get 2 orange chickens with white r-" Preston interrupted and said "she'll have 4 orange chickens and a large white rice". He grabbed his credit card swiped it threw and handed me the $50 bill back.

We walk back to the table and I'm so confused. We sit together at the table and he's quiet the whole time. Then he started back up with his attitude. "Why do you have to sit here?" he asks. "I wou- would rather- hav-have my mom pick me up som-something from the drive th-thru." I stuttered. "Just forget" he snapped. When did I EVER stutter." I get so nervous around him. "Order for Mr. Preston" Said the employee. Really M R. P R E S T O N. It was nice of him to buy me dinner. He sits at the table and says "what's the problem, aren't you gonna go order your food now?" My adrenaline was rushing I wanted to curse him out. But the only thing that came out was "yeah I guess so." I grab the $50 dollar bill that was crushed up in my right pocket and my face got red.

At the end of the day I just realized how much of an ass Preston is. But why does he have to be so freaking fine. Every time he says something rude his left eyebrow goes up and his white teeth shine. "Hello weird nerd girl Why are you looking at me like that?" He asks. "Umm I was ju- just thinking ab-about something." I stammer. "Better not be thinking of us together because you could stick that vision up you're ass and around the corner" he says. I roll my eyes and stuff some orange chicken in my mouth. I noticed how whenever he's about to take a bite of his chicken he looks puzzled rubs his ring finger and then swallows his food he wouldn't make eye contact with me. I wondered if I was making him nervous. "Quit starring its rude" he snaps. I look up slowly and try to think of some dumb excuse. "Oh I was ju-just wondering if you wan-wanted you're orange chicken" I say. Really Camryn that's the best you can come up with. I already had a medium dinner in my face. His left eyebrow shoots up and he asks " Dang can I eat some of my food?" I instantly regret what I said and just ignored his question.

Mr.Heights and my mom get up and we head out the door. As we get into the car my mom says "Honey were gonna go to church tomorrow we're something classy for Preston."
