I wake up in the morning and roll outta bed.
Why does school have to be so early?
I walk to the bathroom and brush my mess of hair. After brushing my teeth, I feel a pain on my wrist. I pull up my sleeve and see the red mark that cover it.
I'm so stupid why did I do this? What if someone sees tellsor Mom?
I carefully roll my sleeve back down and continue getting ready. I pick out a pair of leggings and a giant sweatshirt. After that, I grab my phone, and my backpack and head out the door. I walk to my bus stop and wait. It's November and its getting cold. Everyone else has their parents take them to school, but not me.
After about 20 minutes I spot my bus and put my headphones in as it pulls up.
"Good morning, Abi." The bus driver says
"Morning Jeff." I say and search for an empty seat.
No luck.
I find a seat next to a really quiet kid. Knowing he wouldn't talk and it would be a silent trip to school. I turn on my music and put my knees on the seat. I close my eyes and block the world out. This lasts until the bus comes to a stop and I know I'm at school. I open my eyes and get ready to exit the bus. A giant brick building, that in some way resembles a prison in my view. I wait til someone lets me out of my seat and walk into the building. As I walk towards the gym I find my best friend Lindsay.
"Abi!!" Lindsay shouts and runs up to me.
"Hey linds." I say as she hugs the life out of me; like there was any left.
"What's wrong?" She says searching my eyes.
I look down and try to think of an excuse.
"Oh nothing, just tired. I was up late." I says and sit down.
"Oh okay. Is everything with your mom okay?" She asks still searching my face.
"Will it ever be, is the real question." I say
She gives me a sad look and I just shrug it off.
Lindsay is one of my best friends. She's been through it all with me. I tell her everything even when I don't want to. I don't know what I would do without her.
The teacher lets our section go and we walk to our lockers. We're attached at the hip. It's impossible to split us up.
Once I'm at my first period I say bye to Lindsay and walk in. I find my seat and slump down; lunch seems so far away. Today's going to be a long day.
Ring** Ring**
Time skip**
Fourth period ends and I head to my locker. I meet up with Lindsay and we walk together to drop our books off. I throw my books in my locker and slam it shut.
"What's wrong?" Lindsay asks.
"Just a long day." I say.
"Oh cheer up. It's Friday. We can hang out this afternoon!" She says
I grin and quickly erase it
"I don't know, Linds. My mom..." She cuts me off
"Oh screw your damn mom. I'm not letting her ruin your life. You will have fun and happiness weather it kills you." She says.
(She's seriously the best friend in the entire world.)
I laugh, I love you Lindsay." I say and we do our hand shake.
"Love you too, Abs."
Yup, we're like family. We have a weird friendship but it works for us so who cares.
(Who else has a weird friendship with their best friend? I want to make sure I'm not the only one.)
We sit down at our spot and I steal Lindsays french fries.
"Dude, back off my fries." She says and covers them.
"But...but..please." I say and stick my bottom lip out.
"Oh fine, but I call your burger."She says and puts them on my tray.
"Thank you. Here's my Hamburger." I say and give it to her.
I'm a vegetarian, so I take her fries and she gets whatever has meat on it.
After we finish eating, we dump our trays and head to the gym. We sit at the top away from everyone else and talk.
"Are you sure there's nothing wrong?" She asks
I look down.
"You can tell me Abs." She erges
"My mom again." I say
"What happened? " She asks
I tell her and she scuffs.
"What is with that little bitch?" She shouts
I laugh at her anger and profanity.
"She just doesn't care about me." I say
"Well she's a fucking bitch. I love and care about you. I'd take a bullet for you man."She says
I smile," I would for you too, Linda. Thanks." She always knows how to make me feel better.
After recess we go to sixth period. I grab my stuff and go to class. I walk up to the door and see see the teacher.
"Hi, Ms.Burner."I say with a smile
"Afternoon." She says with a dirty look.
I don't know what I did to her but, she's hates me. Oh well.
Ring** Ring**
I head to my locker and to the bus.
Back to hell. Just wonderful.
