I scanned the place from the upper view in my apartment. The sun was already going down and more people were coming out, There was a new club open for the night. A grand Opening it seemed. I turned around searching for my phone. Approaching the coffee table a grabbed it, heading out. Greeted by the buzzing of the busy cars all over the place. The smell of cigarates on my way past stores.
The city, had changed over the years I been alive. The Buildings, more skyscrapers, and more humans. There was a forest near the cementary, where I normally do my hunting. I don't hunt human blood. That was something I didn't want, i get flashbacks. They scared me seeing them. I was not the only vampire in the city. I sensed a plenty of more, but they just seemed to be well hidden. I never bumped into one in my whole time being here.
Sometimes, we get news, that vampires had gone missing by overnight and there bodies found slaughter into pieces. Which was not a good thing for all of us living here.
Crossing the street, I was starting at a woman who was arguing with a guy next to her. Too much drama, and hate in their situiation.
My name, is Andy PlunKett, I am 18 but in vampires years i am 287. Old I guess you can say.
I had my own looks, but never enjoyed it. Since i was a curse, I never did needed someone to look at me and give me googly eyes. Specially the ladies, it just doesn't helps.
Entering the club, I looked inside. There was pretty loud music, and alot of drunk guys drinking their booze. Woman dancing like they were free to do whatever they were imprisoned. It was sort of dark inside and many bright lights. I bit my lower lip as someone bumped into me. "Sorry," The lady said adding a sly smile. "I should look at what I am doing."
I only glared at her. There was something strange about her. "It's fine, nothing to worry about." I replied. "At least no one is hurt."
She nodded then left being shallwed by the dancing crowd. I headed toward the bar, getting some drink they had for special. It was too strong for me. Made my stomatch upset.
"Hey, look at this guy.." Someone said walking toward me. "Seems pretty weak to me."
My eyes looked at the guy. He was drunk alright. I looked away rolling my eyes. He had a group wit him.
"Say, you don't drink?" He asked punching my arm. Then grabbed my cup spilling the booze all over my shirt. I was sooking with alchohol. I felt the senation of anger, but I kept it inside. My fist wasalready clutch. "Eh? not gonna do a thing? "
"Why don't you just leave him alone? And dance? have fun? Its a grand opening, Get more booze or get the hell out!" A lady behind them exclaimed.
"oh, who do we have here..A lady. Ordering us? Why dont you dance for us?" It was the same female from earlier. I stood up sighting.
"You know you don't have to come and join." I said. "It was between us not you."
"I know, I am not stupid, I would have never stepped a foot inside. " She told me giving me a cold glare.
I turned around. Looking at myself. I sensed a vampire around. Somewhere in the crowd. I was searching, it was a faint sense though near. Something was wrong, and not right. It was getting nearer. The lights went off. Screaming. Screaming all over the place. There was a gun being fired.
Someone grabbed me almost dragging me. I tried to see in the dark, it was just not working for me. "What the H-" I heard the lady voice pause with a scream. The lights were on, someone must have found the light switch. I stood up feeling bit dizzy. i turned around seeing blood all over. Ripped open bodies. I closed my eyesshaking my head. It reminded me of what had happened in my time of being. All the campers in the camp were slaughtered. Blood all over, screamings and people running for their safety.
I felt someone touching me. "Seems like I got the wrong one..you.." Hissed the voice. Then was being dragged. Hanged upside down from a rope outside the club in the alley. Infront of me stood a guy and a woman.
"This is the vampire." She said looking at me. Almost like she was questioning the man. "I'd thought he was more buffy and bigger." She looked at the man standing infront of him.
"This what I had picked up. maybe there were two of them?" He said avoiding in looking at her in the eyes.
"He's not the criminal. Nor the vampire we been chansing you fool! Are you blind! He had escaped. take this one down. You are such a disgrace to me. Can't believe I been partnered up with such a loser. " She sighted looking at the sky. "Go on do it." The guy approached me with a knife cutting the rope in one cut.
"Sorry for the drag out. " The woman said helping me get up.
"It's fine...No need to apologize." I started. She covered my mouth.
"Shhsss..I think they here." She whispered. "Dean, be watching. You, fight if necessary. You are a vampire, so you better help around here. Seems like you can be sort of help." I bit my lower lip shaking my head.
" I dunno what you meaning, I thought both of you were vampires? You dont need my help." I pointed out. She grabbed me from my collar.
"Vampires? You must be joking right? I am human. And he is just a stupid vampire...but very skilled."
I open my mouth to say something but stopped as we saw a shadow pass by.
"Dean, you idiot, they are here. what are you doing, standing there?" She quietly yelled.
The other vampire, stood there then fell on his knees laying on the floor dead. He was soo pale. It disgusted me seeing his black blood all over. I looked away. They were fast.
"They got him." I said tapping her. "We need to get out, tight corners here."
She pushed me away. "I know what I am doing. Don't need you telling me what to do. You should e the one worrying about yourself." Her green eyes were full of anger and were afraid.
I didn't care what she had to say to me. I grabbed her, dragging her on the other side. I seen the shadow following us. I tried to look forward. "What are you doing! Put me down, you bastard, This is my only chance to prove to the other vampire hunters I can become one!" She yelled trying to break free.
I turned around hearing. "I got you." Everything turned black for me.....
