Jake's P.O.V

Her chuckle made my heart beat faster when she saw my right hand extending towards her, as I bowed. "May I have this dance, my love?" I spoke in a whisper.

Shaking her head at the moment, she gladly took my hand and responded, "Of course you may," causing my smile to grow wider.

WhybySecondhand Serenadebegan to play in the background, as we swayed just as the other few couples on the beach. It was starry out, night time now, and a slight breeze flew through the air. But with even that, everything was perfect.

The buttons on my phone are worn thin, I don't think that I knew the chaos I was getting in...

My arms were wrapped around Rose's tiny waist, and hers were around my neck. My grip on her tightened, as I pulled me closer into me, a toothless, lopsided grin tingling while my eyes looked into hers. I just had to do it tonight. This was the perfect time to, anyway.

But I've broken all my promises to you, I've broken all my promises to you...

Her face dug in the crook of my neck, shooting tiny sparks throughout my body. I brushed my cheek against her soft, rosie ones. My thumbs automatically began to softly rub circles on the sides of her waist. The way her nose and lips would brush across my neck every once in a while made my knees go numb. Her touch was so delicate, that it intimidated me in a way. It made my heart want to leap out of my chest. And my voice go numb. And my breath tighten up, hitching if I were to speak.

Why do you do this to me? Why do you do this so easily? You make it hard to smile because, you make it hard to breathe. Why do you do this to me?

My hand flew to her face, slowly, as I tilted her chin up so that her eyes would meet mine.

A phrasing that's a single tear, is harder than I ever feared. And you were left feeling so alone.

I felt her press her forehead against mine as I small grin plastered on both of us. I didn't bother about how many people were watching us, or how many candles were lit up around us, or how much slower the D.J. was making the song go. Because my mind couldn't help but stay on the fact that Rose was here, with me, and nothing was ruining this moment.

Because these days aren't easy, like they have been once before. These days aren't easy anymore...

I didn't even care about how cliche I was sounding, or how girly either. Because I knew that I wasn't the only guy in the world who felt this way towards a girl. I was just another guy who had never felt this way about a girl before, whose scared of those feelings he was getting, a guy who was only afraid to admit he was slowly falling in love with the most perfect, beautiful girl in the world. That's all I really was right now.A guy falling in love for the first time in his life.

Why do you do this to me? Why do you do this so easily? You make it hard to smile because you make it hard to breathe. Why do you do this to me? To me, to me, to me.

"Rose..." I finally mumbled out a whisper, my nose brushing against hers, and my eyes closed.

"Hmm..." Her voice was weak and shaky. And that just made me more happy than I could ever be, knowing I had the same effect on her as she does on me.

I opened my eyes and stared at her lips, then looked back up at her eyes. "I-I wanted to tell you s-something." I stammered, right after licking my lips.

Rose furrowed her eyes, confused and scared. "What is it?"

"I wanted to tell you..."

"Yeahhh?..." She pressed, telling me to go on.

"To tell you," I paused, wondering whether I should say it or not. "Thatthat I-I,"

"Get to the point Jake." She smacked her teeth, a sly grin still playing on her lips. But, that only caused me to lean into her more, until there was almost no space left between us.

"I lov"

"JAKE!" I pulled away a bit and cut myself off when I heard Rose scream my name. Confused, I looked to where she was staring. Widening my eyes, I felt my heart race pick up. I saw others looking over there as well, gasping and moving a few feet away before they got hurt. But, I wasn't worried about me.

Instead, I grabbed Rose's waist from behind and pushed her into me, pulling us both back before she got a single scar on her beautiful body. Even so, one thing never left my mind after I saw a familiar blonde smirking as the tall lamp post tilted forward and hit the sand, luckily, no one getting hurt.

Jenifer was trying to get rid of Rose.

So, just to clear things out, basically Jenifer was the one who forcefully pushed the beach lamp post, trying to aim it at Rose. Get a hint? Plus, this type of lamp post was like those lantern-like ones at the beach, so its not heavy. Comment your thoughts, lil' lovelies. I love you all! Till next time'.
