"You never told me that, Jake Swan, was your fiancee." I stated, my eyes showing emotion, but my insides filled up with worry.

Rose furrowed her eyebrows, confused. "Yeah, but you don't know him." She shrugged. "Wait, how do you know him?" She folded her arms together.

My eyes wandered around the room. "I-I," I stammered out. "We used to befriends."Yeah, realgood friends.

"Friends?" Rose raised her brow. "You," She pointed at me, "Andthatplayer? Used to befriends?"

"It was way before I met you and Ryan, okay?" I smiled, trying hard to find a way out of the subject. But, that was a lie. I met Jake just around the time I met Ryan, myboyfriend.

"Okay." She nodded. "So tell me, how's you and Ryan?" She wiggled her eyebrows, biting her lip.

I sighed, glad she would change the subject. Then, a giggle left my lips.

"We're doing pretty good, I guess."That was half true."We never got into any fights."True."And I'm still pretty surprised he was so determined to keep our long distance relationship. I mean, I was all the way in New York this past year and him in Georgia. Just, there's so much going on."Definitely true.

Rose grinned. "Yeah, well, you should be glad. You're back together now and, he's been faithful and kept his word."

Oh god. Here comes the stomach churning.

"Are you alright?"

"Huh?" I snapped my head towards Rose. "I'm sorry, what?"

"I asked if you were alright. You just seemed to zone out and look sick all of a sudden."

I bit my lip, "Y-Yes. Why wouldn't I be o-okay? I'm just t-tired is all."

Rose squinted her eyes, suspicion growing in her deep brown orbs. But, she later nodded, understanding.

"Alright."

I smiled, the guilty thoughts driving away from my head. Then again, there's her fiancee. No! Jenifer, don't think about that. You have Ryan, and he's getting married.

"I missed you so much!" Rose squealed, attacking me in a bear hug. "We have to catch up! How about me, Jake, Ryan and you, go to the beach tomorrow afternoon?"

My smile faded once she mentioned Jake's name. "I don't know..."

"Oh come on, Jen!" She pouted. "We'll have so much fun!"

Fun.Maybe, that's one word that could help me get back what I want. Slowly, my lips tugged upward, a lop-sided grin forming on my lips.

"Yes," I began. "I would love that."

Rose smiled big, clapping her hands together. "Awesome! You won't regret it, it'll be amazing." She ranted on, and held in the urge to scoff and roll my eyes at the irony.

It will be amazing, Rose. But, I'm not going to be the one who'll regret my own decision.
