chapter 4

*takeria's POV*

3 months later

Me and August been talking for 3 months now. We're not dating but it feels like it. If hes not over my house im over his house, and when we're not together we're constantly on Factime or on the phone together.  We've gotten really close and I love that. Im actually going out with him tonight when I get off work. Oh yeah I work as a dancer at DOA-diamonds of Atlanta now. I like it and the money im bringing is great but I dont think im gonna be there too much longer. August doesn't like it.

I left to get to DOA at around 6:30. I had to be on stage at 8:00 but I did my makeup and hair there so I had time to kill. I pulled out of the parking lot from my condo and headed to DOA. I made it there at around 7:15 the drive was kind of long because of traffic. I walked inside and managed to get to my dressing room and past all the angry stares from the other dancers. For some reason the other dancers didnt like me. maybe because I made the more money or I kinda caught the attention of most of the men. I did manage to become cool with one of the other dancers here. Her names stacy.  Shes real cool. We're kind of just alike. We both just stay to ourselves. once I finished curling my hair I began putting on my outfit for the night. I was sitting chillin texting august til I heard a low knock at my dressing room door. I already knew it could be one person. Stacy. "come in" stacy walked in all energetic like always "hey girl" "hey" "why didnt you come buy my dressing room today I missed you" I smiled to myself cause I totally forgot to go by her dressing room like I always do. "im sorry I forgot" "well bitch you better not forget again" "okay" "but your on stage in like 3 minutes" "okay thanks girl" "welcome". Stacy left my dressing room closing the door behind her. I texted August back and told him I'll text him when I leave. Like every night before I went on stage I gave myself a talk. "okay takeria you got this, just go out there and get that money and come back, before you know it it'll be over with.". I said a quick prayer then went out there.

1 hour 30 minutes later

When I came back to my dressing room I knew I had made about 25 G's. That's how many big ballers was out there. I changed into august's sweats and a t-shirt, gathered my things and headed out. While I was walking to my bmw i texted august telling him I was off work. Right when I sent it he called me. smiled to myself seeing his name pop up on my iPhone screen. I slid the green bar over answering the call

me: hey aug

august: hey baby how was work?

I smiled to myself when I heard him call me baby

me: good always. Aug I dont really wanna go out. Ima just slide by your crib.

August: okay thats cool . Keri when you gone stop working at DOA ? You know I dont like you working there.

me: Aug I really dont wanna talk about this right now . I told you ill quit when I find another stable job.

August: mayne ight

August hung up without even saying bye to me. I guess my big baby mad. I dont know why he just let me handle that. I headed home to take a shower and change, then ill go to august's place.

I steped out the shower with nothing but a towel wrapped around me. I lotioned my body then got dressed. once I finished I texted August and told him I was on my way he replied okay. I went to kyra's room to see what she was doing. I knocked then she opened the door with a curlng iron in her hand. She must be going somewhere.  "were you going hoe?"
