The Four Guardians of Nature

Chapter 5: Dumbledore

       As I ran away from Lover Boy, I spotted a wall, leaned on it, and caught my breath. Had a guy actually flirted with me!?!?! I was full of questions but I pushed them all out of my mind and reminded myself that I had to get Dumbledore. I ran, not knowing where I was going, but somehow having the knowledge of where his office was. I also knew that he would be waiting outside of it, waiting for me when I got there. And as I knew would happen, Dumbledore was waiting, sitting on a chair and facing the hall from where I came. How did I know that? "Well. What are you still doing out of bed Kassidy?" His calm voice questioned. I hadn't even realized how late it was. I opened my mouth to say something but was cut off by Dumbledore who said, as calm as ever, " One often loses track of time when worried." After an unsettling silence, I found my voice and said," Sean has collapsed. But before he did he said ' Don't trust those who you believe are in the wrong.' In a raspy and slightly high pitched voice that I heard one time in a dream that I had the day I found out I was a witch." I finshed in a gasp as I got an unbearable pain in my right forearm, the one with the birthmark. I fell down in agony and remember seeing Dumbledores worried face as he said that it would be all right. And for the second time in my life, I fainted.
          I awoke to see blurry figures standing at the foot of my bed which I recognized as the same one that I woke up in the day Oliver pushed me into the freezing water. I blinked a few times and the blurry ness disappeared. I wish it hadn't. I looked again at the foot of my bed I saw Lover Boy, Dumbledore, And Madam Pomfrey. I asked, rubbing my right arm, " What happened?" "You fainted dear." Madam Pomfrey answered. "You grabbed your arm in pain then collapsed." Lover Boy continued, worry obvious in his eyes. "Thank you,Matthew for getting Madam Pomfrey to help Kassidy. You may leave now." Dumbledore said with a glance at me glaring at "Matthew" aka Lover Boy. Curiosity flashed in the headmasters eyes but he took his gaze away from me and back to Matthew "well?" He asked gesturing towards the exit. Reluctantly, he walked to the door but when Dumbledore and Madam Pomfrey's backs were turned, he flashed that flirtatious grin at me and I hoped my hair wasn't as pink as my face. I glared at him and mouthed, leave. He mouthed back at me Okay, my Love. I gave him my I'll-kill-you-later glare and he backed away with a cocky grin. I looked back to Madam Pomfrey and asked," Um... Can I leave now?" She looked at me with confusion. "I-it's my first day and I don't wanna miss class." I squeaked. She smiled a kind smile and said,"Sure darling. Do you want to see Sean before you go. He was the reason you went to get Dumbledore. Right?" My eyes widened. I forgot about Sean! My hair turned a deep shade of blue. I assume the color represented  surprise or amazement because it went away and turned back to my usual brown when I thought I'm no longer surprised.
     Both of their eyes widened with surprise and when I raised my eyebrow Dumbledore said, his voice slightly shaking,
" It seems that you can control the way your hair is colored."
"And that is bad, why?" I asked my hair turning black. Fear a voice stated in my head. After I thought I am no longer scared it turned back, as expected, to brown.
"It is bad because only one witch has ever been able to do that, and she was in Slytherin. She also died a very painful death. It also means you can control all five elements."
"Well! That sounds quite fun." I said sarcasm dripping from my voice. "And five elements? I thought that there were only four, ya'know, fire, water, air, and earth."
"There is a fifth, the element of spirit. You seem to be able to already control the two hardest of the elements. Spirit, or as you said,gravity and air."
"Great! Can I go now?"
"Yes you may leave."
I said thanks and Madam Pomfrey directed me to where Sean was at(and then walked away) and my hair turned gold as I saw that he was awake and perfectly fine. "Sooooo... what does gold mean? You are a metamorphmagus right? Because I swear that your hair was brown a second ago." I smiled at him and said,"I believe that is either means relieve or super happy." I sat down and he said," Why are you relieved? I would never leave you." His face turned pink as he reached for my hand and I took it. He continued, "I-I mean you just found out that you are a witch so you need help to settle in and that's why I'm here!" He took his other hand and used his thumb to point at himself. I stood up and kissed him on the cheek and said," You better not ever leave me again or I will kill you." He smiled and I told him that I would be waiting in the Great Hall for him.
       I got changed into my school robes and thought about how I not only had one but two guys crushing on me! Ugh... Sometimes my life sucks. I went down to the Great Hall and looked for two empty seats and found some near a blond headed kid whom I paid no mind to as I sat down and started to pile the delicious food onto my plate which, after I was done, was filled with sausage, pancakes, and eggs. Yum! I thought as my hair turned a bright teal blue. I assumed it ment satisfaction because I was pretty satisfied with my balanced breakfast. I guessed that literally everyone in the entire Great Hall noticed because as I stood up to reach for the salt and pepper, everyone got quiet and then there was a bunch of whispering about "who is she?" And "I dunno" And even some scattered "cool"'s and "awesome!"'s. I looked around cautiously  and saw everyone staring at me in awe and amazement. The blond kid looked at me and it was then that I noticed that it was Matthew, my hair turned red and somehow I knew that it symbolized annoyance. "It means annoyance." I said it a low enough voice so that only he could hear me. Many emotions flashed through his eyes, anger, sadness, heartbreak, even fear. I stormed out and sat at the entrance to the one place I could satisfy my hunger. "Are you okay?" A familiar voice asked, worry lacing his words. I looked up and saw Sean," I'll tell you if you meet me in the dorm." He did a sharp nod and turned towards the entrance to our dorm. "Wait!" He turned around. "Could you get me some food? Sausage, eggs, and pancakes if you can." He said yes and ran back into the Great Hall which was still whispering about me. I headed back to the entrance of the Hufflepuff dorm sand said, "you can come out now creep." I heard a shuffling behind me, turned around, and saw a kid dressed in Slytherin robes. "So. Why the heck are you following me?!" I asked him. "I wanted to see if the rumors were true." He said cooly.      
          My hair turned orange which symbolized embarrassment which definitely was the emotion I was feeling. I thought I am no longer embarrassed and my hair faded back to brown. "Happy?" I asked him. "So it's true, I have another sister. Great." He stated. "Don't forget me." A male voice said as he stepped out revealing his Ravenclaw robes. "Me too." A girl voice said as she too stepped out revealing Griffindore robes. "So what's your name?" The Slytherin questioned. "Kassidy." I hesitantly said."Myles." The Slytherin said. "Oriana. Means  Golden Sunrise in Latin." The Griffindore girl said. "Abderus. A friend of Hercules." The Ravenclaw finished. "So me and Myles are the only ones with remotely normal names?" I questioned. They all laughed and gave each other a knowing smile, as if this was an inside joke. Orina said to the others, " I like her!"
      I took in Oriana's features, perfectly smooth tan skin, high cheekbones, eyes that were so brown that they looked black, and long black hair. Looking to Myles I saw that he had blond hair in a normal boy cut style, icy blue eyes that practically yelled I don't trust many people!!!, and really pale skin. And finally I looked at Abderus who had normal brown hair, dark brown eyes like mine but not as dark as Oriana's, a chiseled chin, and a muscular physique.

Heyyy my peeps!!!!! I know! 'Two updates in a row?!?' The only reason I can get them is because I'm on break from school for another week because my school is year round, so my breaks are at different times and last longer.
