Chapter 8: St.Mungos

         I awoke to Sean holding my hand and asleep in a small couch, I squeezed his hand and said, "Where am I?" A look of worry passed through his eyes and I quickly said "Don't worry! I. Did. Not. Loose. My. Memory" and tried to move closer to him but felt a sharp pain go through my body "Ow! What happened? Why am I here? WHY AM I IN SO MUCH FRIGGIN' PAIN?" I gasped as another jolt of pain ran through my body. Sean stood up and explained what had happened after we got out of Herbology. Tears welled up in his eyes so he was blinking really quickly. For me, tears started falling as I remembered how much I had hurt and said through gasps of pain, "You    Still    Have    Yet    To    Answer    My    First    Question." "Your in St.Mungos which is a hospital for magical injuries." He said. "What happened to blond boy?" I asked. "I don't know. Last I heard, he was on trial and will probably just get suspended for a few weeks." At the last part his voice started shaking with anger and hatred. "What's wrong with you? Your always creepily happy and cheery, but now you look like you need to go to anger management." I asked. "My dads Mum and dad were tortured into madness by Bellatrix Lestrange who used the Cruciatus curse. I'm seething because if that Oliver kid hadn't been there you could've ended up like them and I wouldn't ever be able forgive myself because I wasn't there to protect you."
      "It's not your job to protect me." I said soothingly. He kept looking down and softly said, "But that is where you are wrong, my lady. You see, the only reason my dad even works at Hogwarts is for me to be able to be your guard. Your father ordered mine that when he had a male heir, he must be put in the service of guarding one of the children of one of the Guardians. I was assigned to you. I was taught how to fight with a sword,wand,bow, and any other weapon you can think of from the moment I could run,walk, and talk. I was also taught how to manipulate people into thinking things that weren't true. I was taught to-" I cut him off and said, my voice filled with sadness, " Was what we-I felt for you just you acting it out so that I would trust you?" My hair turned a light, dull gray. Sadness a voice whispered in my head. "It means sadness." I said feebly "No, what we felt was real."
"How do I know that you aren't just acting that out so I will trust you again?" My hair turned a light green. "It means hesitant to trust."
"As your knight, sent to protect you, I give you my knights oath that I have feelings for you that reach beyond the depths of friendship." He said putting his fist over his heart
         "Okay I'll trust you, on two conditions. One: act like you used to and don't ever call me 'my lady' ever again unless we are in front of people who are really, really important and expect you to call me that. Two: never manipulate anyone unless it is for my safety. Got it?" I finished in a gasp as I experienced more pain. "Yes my- I mean ok Kassy." He said and blushed. I smiled and told him that I should stop talking and start getting some sleep. He said okay, closed the door, turned off the lights, came over to me, bent over me, and kissed me good night. I probably had the same goofy grin on my face as he did except my hair and cheeks were pink. After he kissed me, he whispered into my ear, "If I was acting would I have done that?" "Maybe." I whispered back sleepily.
        I went to sleep and had yet another nightmare, but this one was worse. I was back in that field but there were no ravens and it was around noon. I looked over to where the man with slits for a nose was in the previous dream, but he was gone. The next thing I knew, that man was staring at me with utter hatred while I was tied to a chair. He raised his wand and yelled, "CRUCIO!!" For the second time in a row I felt as if someone were stabbing my insides with a serrated knife I screamed,writhed in pain, begged him to stop, but all he did was laugh a cruel and amused cackle and with a booming voice he said over my screaming, "Having fun Mudblood?"
        And the I awoke, still writhing in pain and begging the man to stop while Sean was holding me down so that I didn't fall off the hospital bed and a nurse  injecting me with something. "Get him away! Get him to stop! Please I'll do anything!!" I screamed. By then I had stopped wriggling around and Sean was able to let go of me while the nurse asked what had happened. I mumbled, "Man with slits for nose. Using Cruciatus curse on me. Bald. Almost translucent skin." They both exchanged horrified glances. "Sleep." The nurse whispered "But I don't wanna" I mumbled "Each time I do, I have horrifying dreams about that man. The first one, he killed two people and yelled 'die Mudbloods' and then did the killing curse. The second one, I was in a field and was surrounded by trees and the man was by a tree and the sky was filled with ravens that swooped down and pulled at my hair and skin. This one, I was in the same field but tied to a chair with that man standing above me and yelled 'crucio' and when I begged him to stop he laughed a cruel cackle and said 'having fun Mudblood?' And then I woke up."
       "Ugh. I'm such an emotional wreck." I said rubbing my forehead after the nurse had left. "By the way Professor Dumbledore," I yelled to the door "you can come in now. You didn't need to knock so come on in." After I said that Sean gave me a crazy look and then the door opened to reveal Dumbledore. "How did you know I was there Kassidy?" He asked calmly. "I don't know. I just could feel your presence out there. I assume you know who the man from my dreams is." I said looking at him. He nodded and said, "Voldemort was supposed to be dead after Harry Potter killed him, but it seems that he somehow lived." "Hello old-timer. Did you miss me? Yes I'm still living. In this Mudbloods body. So you can't kill me, Ha! Bye just thought I'd say Hi to you." I said in a cold and cruel voice. I gasped as I felt more pain.
             "So that evil, idiotic, sadistic, buttface, Voldemort decided that he could possess me and get away with it? I'll gladly kill myself if that guy dies. And it'll definitely remove the drama from my life." I said. When they both started laughing I asked what they were laughing about and Sean said, "You just insulted one of the most powerful wizards in history." I smiled and said to my hand, "How do you like that?! BUTTFACE!!!!" They both burst out laughing again. Dumbledore said that he had to go and told me to get well soon. After he left I looked to Sean and said, "one last condition, around Matthew, you get to treat him as if he might be a threat. So you call me my lady around him Kay?" He smiled and nodded in  agreement.
     Not a second later the nurse walked in and said, "you have a visitor." She opened the door for Matthew of all people is had to be him!? I looked to Sean who gave me a knowing smile and said, "My lady does not wish to see you." "Back off first year twerp." Matthew said to him. At this point, Sean had made his way to the front of my bed and said, "If you value your life leave." And took out his wand. "Pla-lease I'm older and know way more then you." Matthew taunted. Sean said a really long incantation and pointed his wand at Matthew who disappeared. "Woah. What did you do?" I questioned in amazement. He blushed and said, "Now he can't come within fifteen feet of you or he will be blocked by an invisible barrier." I smiled at him and said, " I'm gonna try to sleep again." He looked at me with worry.
              "Well do you know of any way for me to go to sleep without nightmares besides yoloing it?" I questioned. His face turned bright pink and he said, "I do know one but it would be really awkward." "You've seen me sob,scream,writhe in pain, and beg. I can't get any more embarrassed then I already am." I said. "It'll  involve me getting you roses and a piece of jewelry and a candy of your choice." He said. "I'm cool with that. Get me nerds. The rainbow kind please." He nodded and then walked out the door to get me some awesome gifts. About thirty minutes later he returned and gave me a small box which, when I opened it, there were blue sapphire earrings "Oh! Their beautiful! Thank you!" I gasped as I put them in. "I used the flower petals and your candy crushed up into a fine powder in which I then put water and soaked your earrings in them so they will act as a barrier between bad dreams and you as long as you wear them." He finished. Then said, "Good luck with your dreams." "Thanks." I whispered then yawned and went to sleep. I had no bad dreams that would cause me to have to scream in agony.

           Hey ma peeps! I actually finished this the day that I published chapter 7 but I was board so yeah.😐 I foresee a relationship forming between Sean and Kassy!! Did y'all enjoy the plot twist? I had a fun time writing it! Byeeeeeeee ✌🏼
