Chapter 23
*Ginny POV*
The mall trip with Millie was hell. I’m glad I dragged Jason along with me, even if he did suffer, though.
All Millie did was drag me (I then dragged Jason) into every single shop. She tried on about a hundred things and bought a skimpy little red dress in the end. The only good part of it was when we got a burger at McDonalds. The burger wasn’t that good, but we were very hungry and grumpy. Millie went on and on and on about boys and about how she’s slept with a few. I wasn’t surprised that she had lost her V at all. I mean she’s changed so much. Jason almost choked when she said she’d done it with Derek. I felt sick for Jason, and the fact that they’d done it a week or so after the party was disgusting to even listen to, so I changed the subject as fast as possible.
*Flash back*
“And a couple of months back, a week or so after the party, Derek came over and just went straight to my room, and it was…” she never got to finish because I faked a coughing fit.
“Hey, Millie? Isn’t that Eddie over there?” I distract her as I squeeze Jason’s hand under the table and smile sadly at him.
“Yeah, it is.” She mutters. “Hey Eddie!” She calls him over.
“S’up Millie? Hey Drew, Jason.” he gives us the ‘man-hand-shake-hug-thing’ guys do and sits down next to her. She beats her eyelashes at him and leans forward so her boobs are showing.
Gross.
“So Drew, you doing anything Friday night?” he asks me as an attempt to flirt. It takes everything in me not to laugh hysterically at Millie’s face. “But, if you don’t want to, then that’s cool, too.” he says rubbing the back of his neck.
“Sorry man, I’m busy Friday. Maybe some other time we could all get together?”
“Um, sure, okay.” he sighs.
“I’m available Friday.” Millie tries to turn the attention back to her.
“Sorry, Millie, but girls aren’t my type.”
“Didn’t know you swung that way, man.”
“Well, I do.”
“Cool.” Jason says.
“Jason I thought you did too.” Millie buts in. That chick is so thick I swear she just doesn’t even have a brain.
“You do?” Eddie sparks up at this.
“Yeah.” Jason whispers. “I’m just getting over someone.” He whispers the last part so quietly but Eddie hears it all right
“Sorry, man. Hey did you hear about the Derek thing?” he asks. Oh crap. I know he won’t tell Eddie that it’s Derek he’s getting over.
“What Derek thing?” he asks surprising me.
“That he ended up kissing a dude at that party a couple of months back.” Oh he did. My brother!
“Really? Who told you?”
“It’s all over the boys locker room. You haven’t really been around much though, so it doesn’t surprise me you didn’t hear. I mean when Sam brought it up he went insane telling everyone it was a lie and all, but I saw his face. He was lying to everyone.”
“Who did you think it was?” Millie asks curiously. Why can’t she shut up?
“I don’t know, but that day he was really avoiding you man.”
