I reached forward to take the cotton candy from the man who was leaning over the counter.
"Enjoy, kids," he smiled, his voice rough.
I smiled back and handed the cobwebby treat to the beautiful lady whom I was currently holding hands with.
"Thanks, Finn," she grinned.
God, she's gorgeous. Her wavy blonde hair flows over her shoulders and her bright blue eyes make my insides melt.
But was I happy I was her boyfriend?
Definetly.
Probably.
Maybe?
She giggled and pecked my cheek, took a bite of the pink cotton candy, and handed it over to me. I smiled and nibbled from it.
We sat down and talked for a while, about random stuff. After we were finished, we decided to ride the ferris wheel.
I smiled and handed our carnival tickets to the lady operating the ride.
She smiled and led us over to the huge wheel, then strapped me in. Melody took her seat next to me. I wrapped my jacket around us and nuzzled my nose against hers, when the lady came back.
"Sorry, but you'll have to make room for one more."
Melody blinked and promptly turned to the lady. "What."
"There's no more seats, and this young lady wants to ride, and you two are at the bottom. If you want you can wait longer?"
And then my eyes laid on the most beautiful creature I had ever seen.
Millie Bobby Brown.
Just those names echoing around in my head made the butterflies in my stomach stir. We had been working together on the set of Stranger Things, and as I had gotten to know her...
I had fallen in love with her.
Did I love Melody?
No.
Did I like Melody?
Yes...?
Was Millie looking outstandingly gorgeous in her tight, short blue dress, her hair curly and slicked back, her brown eyes shining through the darkness, her smile wider and brighter than ever?
My heart pounded faster.
"Wait a second," a voice interrupted my thoughts. I looked to see her narrowing her eyes at the tickets we had given her.
"Is there a problem?" Melody asked sweetly, batting her eyelashes. I swear, she looked like a Disney princess.
"Yeah, three of these expired a year ago," she turned to face us awkwardly. "One of you needs to get off."
"I'll do it," I said immediately, standing up.
"Babe, no," Melody sang, standing up. She whispered in my ear, "she works with you, her and me would be so awkward."
I nodded, feeling a bit uneasy. My eyes flickered over to Millie, who was standing there, arms crossed, looking a bit confused.
"Alright," I sighed, giving Melody a quick kiss on the cheek before she stepped off, Millie filling the empty space.
"Finn!" She squealed. I laughed as she pulled me into a genuinely friendly hug. "This is so exciting, I've never been on one of these before!"
I blinked, pushing back a curly strand of raven hair from out of my eye. "Seriously?"
"Yeah," she shrugged. "It's never really piqued my interest, you know?"
Suddenly, the ride started and we began our trek upward. Breeze blew my hair back. Suddenly, I felt fingertips brush my lips, and I turned to see Millie giggling.
"Sorry," she apologized in that adorable accent, "you had hair in your mouth."
"Oh," I replied, trying to get rid of the butterflies.
God, she was amazing, looking up at the midnight blue sky, stars reflecting in her chocolate brown eyes.
I guess I was so caught up in her beauty I hadn't noticed her staring back.
"Finn?" She whispered. I blinked, realizing our noses were only a centimeter apart.
I could barely breathe. I glanced down. We were at the top now. I looked back to see her smiling, watching me closely. I gulped. "Yeah?"
It happened so fast I couldn't stop it. Her soft, cherry flavored lips pressed against mine. I tilted my head to get a better angle, moving my hands to her back. When we pulled away, we were still at the top.
My eyes widened. "Millie, I have a girlfriend."
"Yeah," she whispered. She stepped off the ride, which I realized was back on the ground. I turned to see Melody approaching and when I turned back, Millie was really close again. Her last words before she walked away made me stay awake late that night, pondering them.
"But you kissed back."
