Chapter 10

**Delaney's POV**

Well last night was the night I ended things with Hayes. I wake up with Hayes no where to be seen so I guess he left earlier. I can finally have a day with me and my best Camryn. I really just wanna have someone to talk to. I wonder if we could go see the movie The Fault In Our Stars today.

Text Convo

D- Hey what are you doing today?

C- Nothing

D- Do you wanna go see TFIOS tonight?

C- YES! I've been waiting for that movie to come out!

D- Be at my house by 3:00

C- ok see you then!

It's already 12:00 so I might as well take a shower and get ready. I play my favorite song Sun Shy by Dresses and start my shower. Before I get in, I get a text from Hayes. I'm really in the mood so I ignore it and get in the shower.

When I finish my shower, I have endless text messages from Hayes saying "can I come over" or "please answer me" I simply responded with a text saying I'm hanging out with Camryn tonight. He responds with an "ok" an that's the end of that conversation.

For the movie, I put and a black and white crop top and white high waisted shorts with vans. I spray my perfume and check the time. Only 2:00 so I might as well go penny boarding since I haven't done that in a while. As I grab my red penny board, I also make sure I have money for Starbucks because basic white girl. It's a long ride to Starbucks, so I take in all the scenery around me until I hit something. or should I say someone.

"I'm so sorry" He said. I instantly recognized that voice from anyway. I opened my eyes to see icy blue eyes on the last person I wanted to see right now. It was Hayes. Great.

"Oh sorry I didn't realize it was you, Delaney. So where's Camryn" He asked

"She's coming in about an hour." I said. I really just want to leave the conversation.

"Oh so where were you headed too?" He said blandly.

"Look if this is about getting back together you can forget about it." I'm starting to regret going outside.

"No it's not. I'm just wanted to take your offer about being friends." He said with hurt in his eyes.

"Oh well Starbucks." I said

"Oh me too. Wanna walk together?" he asked.

"Umm.. Sure" I really didn't want to but I really wanna be his friend again. It was really awkward the whole ride there. It was complete silence until Hayes said

"So what are you doing with Camryn?"

"We are going to the The Fault In Our Stars. You?" I regret telling him that.

"Oh we are taking Skylynn and Nash to that movie. Do you want to sit next to each other?" Hayes asked but I didn't know how to decline.

"Um sure but I swear, If you try anything Benjamin and I mean anything, I will personal kick you out of the theatre. ok?" I knew he hated being called Benjamin.

"Ok ok I won't. And don't call me that name." he said

"What Benjamin? Is that name a problem Benjamin. Benjamin?, Benjamin?, Benjamin? Oh wait is that you Benjamin Franklin?" Ok it was funny calling him Benjamin.

"You know what you can stop now." Hayes said.

Before I noticed, we were walking into Starbucks. Man it seem to be a lot shorter ride her than usually because it was only 2:25. I ordered my cotton candy frappuccino while Hayes ordered the Mocha Cookie Crumble. I got my 20 dollars out that I had bought for Starbucks, but Hayes bet me to the cashier. She mumbled "what a cute couple" and I said "We're not dating" and she was like "Whatever". We talked about how much Hayes is a secret white girl and then we left.

When I got home, I thanked Hayes and went inside. I got a text from Camryn saying that she couldn't make it to the movie. Ugh great just what I need, to be alone with Hayes. Anyway, I still had a good 10 minutes before the movie starts so why not walk there.

I arrive at the movie and get my popcorn, drink, and my favorite candy, sour patch kids. I go ahead into the movie theatre and start watching the previews. I get a text from Hayes saying he's buying the food right now. 2 minutes later, I see Hayes and his family walk into the theatre. It was awkward but I had to tell Hayes Camryn wasn't coming.

Sorry I'm the worst at updating! I'm soo sorry! But yeah I'll finish the chapter soon. Hopefully not as long as this took. But yeah I went on vacation so yeah that's why I didn't update. But thank you for almost 1k reads!! I didn't ever think I would get any where bear that! I thought I would be writing for like 5 people😂! But yeah thank for 1k reads and 29 votes.
