Chapter 9

~ Rayna's POV ~t

"I feel like like im easy in a way," I said to zaria on the phone "Ray chill out baby-girl, if anything you're far from easy I think he has something special."

"what do you mean ??" I asked in utter confusion.

" Im saying, if it was anyone else you wouldnt have opened up the way you did with Jamie ."

" So your assuming that I have feelings toward Jamie ?" I said in pure denial "Thats exactly what im saying Ray, and you need to stop discarding the fact that you want allat chocolate."

"oh my gosh Zee," I paused in laughter " Ill be waiting for you to admit to the fact that you want him, its ok ill be patient."

"Whatever" I laughed " mhm, welp I gotta go babes about to get some action if you know what I mean."

"lord. ok ill talk to you later, love you."

"love you too bye bye."

After we hung up I just sat there questioning myself. I dont feel as though I have a connection with him, but something may be there Im not sure what it is but something is there.

~ Jamie's POV ~

"That night i don't know what came over me but i had to taste her... I heard her moans and just had to have her." I thought to myself

Snapping out of my thoughts I got up and went to the bathroom to take a shower. When I got out I put on my Levi jeans, with a white T-shirt, a jean jacket and my traditional high top black and white vans.
I had to go to the mall to get an outfit for my club opening party. I went to the Manhattan beach mall, and got a casual suit from the male Macy's department.
After coming from the mall I went to the club to make sure everything was set up and ready for later.
"Hey Damien." I said as I walked in, "Hey Jamie, everything's going well..we just have to finish up with the lighting."
Damien flew to LA to make sure everything was going well with the set up and also to celebrate this opening.
Damien and I have been friends since our freshman year in college and he recently told me that he was gay, not gonna lie I was completely in shock, but I accept him.

I headed back to the house later on that day to get ready.
I took a quick shower and went to get dressed. I put on casual slim fitting, dark gray, slacks, and a black half buttoned shirt, with the sleeves rolled up, and my black dress shoes.

I invited Rayna long before hoping she'd still come to the club opening.
"I'll just have to wait and see." I said to myself
I grabbed my coat and called an Uber making my way outside, Surprisingly the Uber came fast.
I make it to the opening about thirty-minutes late, and there are way more people than I expected.
I turn my head and spot Leland, and the oh so beautiful Rayna.
She had on this red tight fitting dress that showed all her beautiful curves, she had red lipstick on as well, with her hair in this beautiful curly Afro that made her look so good, I felt myself starting to get hard over her beauty, I was just so glad that she made it.
I walked over to them to speak.

~Rayna's POV~

I started to think about what Zaria and I talked about so, instead of letting what happened, get to the both of us, I decided to go to Jamie's club opening.
I didn't want to seem like what happened made me stray away from him.
I brought Leland along with me, obviously because I didn't want to be alone, and it's a chance for him to meet Damien.

"I hope he doesn't get all awkward if he sees me." I said to Leland feeling nervous, "he might, but don't let it get to you. Talk to him and see where it goes."

"I'll try my hardest." I said "speak of the devil, he's walking this way." Leland said as I turned around to be faced by a grinning Jamie.

"Hey Ray, and Leland," he said smiling at the both of us, but his eyes mainly on me, "I'm glad you could make it."
I smiled at him, "I couldn't miss your club opening, it's a big event for you."
"Yes it is indeed." He chuckled

"Well, I'm gonna go talk to that bartender over and let you two talk," Leland said referring to Damien, "toodles."
"You want to go to my office so we can talk ?" Jamie asked, "the music is pretty loud."
"Yea sure." I said following him down the long, hall to a large door. He opened the door revealing his massive office, it was really nice and spacious.
His office had a huge couch and his desk was pretty big. I sat on the couch as he sat on the edge of his desk.

"So about the other night,"  he paused  "I'm sorry for coming into your room the way that I did, I don't know what came over me."

I need to start locking my damn door, I thought to myself.

"It's fine Jamie. I'm not gonna lie I was upset simply because you left me there confused, and you agreed with me when I told you about how I felt."
"Yes, I know which is why I am apologizing." He said to me 
"it's okay Jae."

"Ray to tell you the truth,"  he paused  "I really like you a lot."
I stood there in complete awkwardness not knowing how to respond.
"I know it may seem a little too late to say this to you, but I've had feelings for you since high scho-" he managed to say before someone knocked on the door.

Jamie and I got interrupted so I just left the conversation where it was. Leland and I went home after the opening party. I thought about what he was about to say the whole care ride.
When I got home I was so exhausted, so I went upstairs and took a shower. When I got out I dried off and creamed my skin, I put a big black t-shirt on and decided to catch up on some emails.
I saw that I have a shoot to do back in New York in a week so I set my flight up for next week and, made sure to let Leland know as well.
I heard someone knock on my door, I got up and opened it and Jamie stood there with his bags.
"Hey I thought maybe it would be best if I check into a hotel."
"Umm. okay that's fine," I paused "be safe"
I hugged him and he hugged me back, I quickly breathed in his scent. He smelled so freaking good. I let go first and he grabbed his bags and headed downstairs. I went back to my bed and continued checking my emails.
After checking them I decided to call Zaria to let her know what Jamie and I talked about.
