KATES POV
I waited for his reply,"well?" I asked him. "Michael Flynn, if you do not amswer me right now........"
"you're pregnant, oh my, ah ah when are you due, jeez why aren't you off the boat, Kate Oh My God I'm gonna be a dad" I was interrupted by Mikes babbling.
I looked up just waiting for him to finish. "Mike are you ok, you're babbling"
no answer
"1. I do t know when I'm due, 2. I only foumd out yesterday, 3. yeah id be pretty safe to assume your going to be a daddy because you are my husband last time I checked any way."
A sarcastic laugh was all I heard from Mike, the next thing I hear is his door open and him yell out, "I'm going to be a dad" Nice Mike. I wasn't ready to let everyone know but now I guess I have no choice.
"Kate, I love you. " Mikes soft voice came through the phone.
"I love you too, I wasn't t ready to tell everyone Mike. Can you not tell anyone else until I have told the crew. Oh and you can work out how far along I am."
"Ok alright I won't say anything else and how am I supposed to work that out?" I could hear him pouting.
"You're a smart guy figure it lut, love you" with that I hung up.
I walked up to the bridge. Nav was sitting in front of the Sonar, she looked at me and I just winked. I walked over to the loud hailer and said "Do you hear there Captain speaking, I was thinking as we are in calm waters and we have no pend7ng orders we should have a barbie, and because I am feeling rather generous, you may each have a beer, that is all." I looked around and saw and heard the cheers. Our youngest sailor Jonathan ran up to the bridge and spoke to me,
"Ma'am the boys and I were wondering if we would be allowed to go for a swim?"
"Sure, just watch out for sharks and stingers, Gunner of the watch standby" I smiled.
"Thanks Ma'am. "
Nav came over to me and asked what happened, I told her everything Mike had ha said amd told her that I was going to tell the crew during the barbeque. But first I wanted to see if anyone fugures it out. She told me I was sneaky I just smiled and turned to the Captains chair on the bridge.
Half an hour later
I had three people ask me if I wanted a beer, of course I said no.
