>>I wanted to post this quickly before I have to go to school so here it is. This chapter's featuring: more Voltron dates, more garlic knots, and a drunk Keith.<<

"Hey, Keith. How are you?" Lance said happily as he threw the door open.
Keith smiled at him. The familiarity of him coming over was pleasant. "I'm.... good."
Lance's smile widened. "Great! Come in."
Keith nodded and followed Lance into his apartment. When he entered, he saw Hunk and Pidge comfortably on the couch, playing some game on Lance's Playstation.
"Hiya, Keith," Pidge said as she popped a piece of popcorn into her mouth.
"Hey Keith. I left you some more of my garlic knots on the kitchen table," Hunk said as he made a vague hand gesture toward their dinner table.
"Thanks, Hunk." Keith made his way into the kitchen, taking a moment to appreciate Lance's ass as the man stood in front of the counter.
"Could you hand me the pepper?" Lance asked, without looking up.
Keith didn't realize he had been asked something for a moment, but quickly grabbed the pepper and handed it to Lance. "What are you making?" He curiously looked over Lance's shoulder.
"Mi madre's famous pasta." Lance dramatically threw pepper in the pan.
Keith snorted as he walked to Hunk's garlic knots. Lance turned around at the sound. His eyes lit up when he spotted the food in Keith's hands. "Gimme some of that." He reached out for it, but Keith took it out of his reach.
Shaking his head, Keith tightened his grip on the bowl on knots. "Nope. Hunk said these were for me."
Lance pouted, it hit Keith straight in his poor little gay heart. "Come on Keeeeiiith. Give it to me."
Keith shook his head. "These are mine, back off." He didn't like the way Lance smirked.
His assumptions were right, because one second later, Lance launched for him. Keith shrieked and hugged the bowl to his chest, afraid that some of the knots would fall out. Lance started to tickle him. Tickle him. Like the four year old he was.
Fortunately for Lance, Keith was extremely ticklish. He thrashed around as he tried to avoid Lance's hands. Without much luck. He shrieked and screamed as Lance tickled him. At one point, he lost his balance. Together, they fell to the ground. Keith underneath Lance.
"Are you okay?" Lance asked tentatively.
Keith looked at him. He was so close. One of Lance's legs was between his. He swallowed. "Uhh, yeah."
Lance smirked. "Good." Taking advantage of Keith's distracted state of mind, he quickly snatched the bowl out of the smaller man's hands.
"Hey!" Keith exclaimed as he quickly jumped to his feet to follow Lance, who had already disappeared into the living room.
The Cuban sat on the couch, grinning smugly as he took a bite off one of Keith's garlic knots. Keith grumbled but accepted defeat as he sat on down on the floor in front of Lance's feet.
"So what's the plan for tonight?" Shay asked as she popped some popcorn into her mouth. Hunk wrapped an arm around her shoulder.
Keith watched as Pidge shrugged her shoulders. "I dunno. Maybe we can watch some Voltron?"
Keith nodded in agreement, swallowing the last bite of his garlic knot. He glared at Lance who happily began with his third.
He followed the way Lance lips curled around the small knot.
Pidge nudged his knee and smirked at him. "You're drooling."
Embarrassedly, Keith wiped his chin. He blushed and focused his attention on anything that wasn't Lance. Which was hard. Lance was just so close. Keith could almost hear him breathing and everytime he moved, his leg would lightly hit Keith's back.
Hunk started the last few episodes of Voltron's final season. They watched it together and talked about what they thought what was going to happen. It was nice. It was easy, relaxed.
They were all shocked at the end, and while they talked, Lance got out the drinks and foods. He placed them on the coffee table. Keith eyed the alcohol thirstily. After a few hours of being so close to Lance, he needed something to boost his confidence and courage.
"Want some?"
Keith blushed as Lance had caught him in his act of eye-drinking the alcohol. He nodded. "Give me something strong."
"Okay, then, tiger," Lance said as he chuckled. Keith blushed even harder.
When everyone had a drink (Pidge drank apple juice) and sat back in their old spots, they started talking.
"So," Hunk started, "Lance how is it going with that big art project you were doing?"
Lance visibly perked up at the mention of one of his greatest passions. "Great, actually. I already have some ideas for the paintings." He took a sip from his drink. "I think it's gonna turn out pretty great." He nodded and smiled.
Keith couldn't help but smile with him.
"You were participating in some kind of competition, right?" Shay asked. "Hunk told me some things about it."
"Yeah, I am," Lance's smile got ever wider, "and if the judges think I'm one of the best three, I get to fill a gallery with my art for a week. The other two who get chosen will have one, too. And at the end of the week, they will choose one winner who will get two thousand dollar." He took another sip and looked around his friend impressively.
Keith smiled. He loved to see Lance like this, all happy and proud of his achievements. He was extremely curious as to what Lance was planning. "What is the theme?"
Lance's dark blue eyes fixed on Keith, and for a moment he forgot how to breathe. The oceans sparkled in mischief. "I'm not gonna tell you, just yet." The teasing tone of his voice had Keith swallowing harshly. Maybe he needed to tone it done on the alcohol a bit. Maybe.
As they talked, drank and ate, they all started to loosen up a bit more. Keith more than the others. Which, admittedly wasn't the best idea. He leaned back against Lance's shins and leaned his head on the Cuban's knees to look at him.
He giggled a bit at Lance's red face. Somewhere in the room, he heard Pidge cackling. He didn't care, though. The alcohol had given him the confidence to look straight into Lance's eyes. He wished he was in his Galra clothes right now. So he could press himself into Lance's side.
"Is this okay?" Keith asked softly as his big eyes looked at Lance.
Lance nodded, "Yeah," he cleared his throat, "yeah, this is okay." Keith giggled again. His cheeks had turned pink from the alcohol. "How much did you drink?"
Keith shrugged. "I don't know." He lifted his hands up to grab Lance's. Did he imagine the way Lance took in a sharp breath? He placed the slender hands on his head, motioning for Lance to move.
When Lance caught on, he quickly started to move his fingers. Keith dropped his hands in his lap and sighed in contentment. He was this close to literally purring.
In his tipsy state of mind, Keith missed the photos Pidge took and the looks Shay, Hunk and Pidge shared.
At the end of the night, Pidge had to drag Keith back home. He kept murmuring about how he wanted to stay with Lance, forever.
>>In the next chapter will be some 'smexy times' as my lovely beta calls them. Let's just say it's the reason I rated this story as 'mature'...<<
