Chapter 2: The Island

The Island

This island the girl was talking about was similar yet different than the one I was at before. Not only does it look different physically, even the atmosphere felt like it changed.

What is this place?

Where in the world am I?

How did I get here?

Is there even a way out of here?

Are there anymore people on this island? considering the residences close by, I presume that's a yes. Unless they're all abandoned. If so, who brought me here and what is the purpose of me being he-

"Hey, Aeri-oneesan, are you ok?"

"Oh, s-sorry."

I got too lost in my thought I forgot this little girl was still here.

"Ok Onee-san, It's time for you to meet Kimi-oneesan."

"Kimi? Who's kim- Hey, hey!"

The girl grab my right wrist then pulled me up with strength greater than that of a little girl, and started pulling me towards where the buildings where. I started jerking my right arm in an effort to break free, but it was ineffective. This girl had tsundere level strength. Who is this Kimi? this just confirms that there where others.

"Hey, hey! Let go!"

"Ok."

She let go of my right arm and I lost my balanced a bit from I force of my jerking.

"Hey! where are you taking me!?"

"I told you. To the capital, to see Kimi-oneesan."

"That's the part that I don't get. Who is this Kimi-oneesan? Why are you here? Why am I here? And What is this island?"

I wanted answers.

"Kimi-oneesan will answer all your questions. And I'm gonna take you to her."

I don't really trust this girl a whole lot with the fact that I met her about 5 minutes ago. And the situation I was in wasn't helping. This Kimi-oneesan sounded like she was the leader or something. Maybe she'll tell how I got here and find me a way outta here. Well, I'm not gonna get any answers doing nothing. Guess I have no choice now do I.

*sigh*

"Ok, fine take me to this Kimi-oneesan."

I said displeased at myself having to take orders from an adorable 8 year old; with her red hair, rose-colored eyes and pigtails. Her loose plain white t-shirt, pink skirt and red flipflops; And her cheerful smile.

"Yeah!"

"..."

She let go of my wrist and pointed at the direction of the town.

"This way."

"...ok."

We started heading towards the town; walking on a convinient concrete pathway that connected to all the houses. This town and coast was surrounded by a glorious view of mountains. The natural atmosphere of the island really contrasted with the more modern look of the town.

".... Hmmm. "

I don't know if it was seeing things, but I think I saw something move on top of the mountain. It was only for a second, but I'm sure pretty sure I saw a silhouette of a person. There must something beyond the mountains of they might be hiking or something. I don't know.

As we got closer to the town, I felt like I was exaggerating when I use the word 'town'. There were only couple of buildings that just made up the town. I think I saw a café of sorts. I'm guessing the building in middle is the capital she is talking about. They all looked like modern japanese buildings just on a beach. I saw a few people in the buildings, so there are others on this island and there's something odd with them.
