It's less than three hours till the clock strikes midnight. Most people are already going to sleep at this hour, some are still making their way to their homes, some staying up late and regretting it in the morning. But there are some weird ones who just like to take a stroll out and steal from a local convenience store four blocks away from their apartment complex.

The next day would be the day where Tokyo University students had to be present; but Kuroo Tetsurou never really abided much by the rules. Instead, he goes out to steal some cash from a store to have some food in his stomach for the next few days. This was how he survived for two years already.

When the alarm goes off, signalling the bedhead to run for his life, he closes the money box and takes everything that he was able to get, and dashes off to not be caught by the police. He runs, jumps, sneaks and even leaps from time to time to escape. He runs like his life depended on it-- it actually does and it makes him panic even more.

The panic rises when just as he was about to jump to the next building, a shadow of a woman forces him to stop going any further.

"A little too late tonight, Star Girl?" Kuroo can't help but tease, laughing as he brings up a touchy subject for the person in front of him.

Star Girl. Quite a weird choice of name, but what could she do when that's what the people of Tokyo call her? Despite her name, she still does her job anyway; which is to stop the villain a few steps up front.

"Hand it over, Black Cat," Star Girl makes sure to emphasize the last two words just as he did to her. She knew that he knew that she didn't like the nickname, but that didn't stop her from countering him with his own nickname.

Kuroo presses his lips into a thin line. He didn't want to be any late than he already is, because he needed to head to his apartment and get some sleep and be early for tomorrow to help with some club activities that needed to be finish early.

So, Black Cat makes a run for it again. His legs take him to the edge of the building quickly, and he makes his mind to jump to the next building. Though, when he looks behind him, Star Girl is fast approaching with two back handsprings.

When finally behind him, Star Girl harshly kicks the bag of money Black Cat was holding out of his grasps. Then, she moves to unbalance his legs, but decided against it because that would mean he would fall off the building most likely, and break his bones and maybe cut himself and then die. So, she just runs for the bag of money to return it.

Black Cat is torn between starving and missing his club activities. He thinks fast, or as fast as he can, and went with the former. Screw his stomach for being hungry and his body for needing food, he'll sleep instead and figure out a way tomorrow.

When Star Girl sees that Black Cat is escaping from her peripheral vision, she just sighs and and swiftly went down the building to return it to the police for them to give it back to the owner. This has happened all the time, and it was fine with her. Her main goal is to return the money or food he has stolen, sometimes she even let's Black Cat off the hook if she's too tired and sees that what he has stolen is not that much important and just tells the police that he had already gotten away.

The bag of money is returned, and the police thanks her again.

"Thanks, Star Girl. Had Black Cat escaped again?" One police officer asks the female.

She could just hum. "When I got the money, he ran away while he still had the chance. Forgive me, officer," she apologizes genuinely, bowing deeply.

The officer waves it off. "The important thing is that the things stolen are returned. He doesn't cause much of a ruckus, so he's the least of our worries now," he chuckles in the end.

"Though you gotta admit, rushing in the evening is quite a hassle," said the officer next to him, fixing his uniform.

"That's why you're in the night shift, you're ready to be in a situation like this," countered back the first officer. "Look, Star Girl does this almost every night. Right, Star Girl?" When the officer looks at the spot she was suppose to be at, he sees that she's gone without a trace.

"I don't get why you try, boss," said his buddy, "This happens almost every night," he uses the same phrase from earlier as payback, smirking.

"Shut up, you."
