Flashback

They all looked at Shenron in anticipation, they were going to get the people back, Trunks back. Dende, the new Guardian of Earth and Gohan's old friend, stepped up to the Dragon Balls. "Arise Shenron! Grant our wishes!" The balls started to glow brighter and the skies became a black oblivion as a light shot from the Dragon Balls into the sky. It took only a matter of seconds for the light to form into the long, green familiar dragon.

"Speak your wishes, I shall only grant two." The dragon boomed. Dende turned to Gohan.

"Well, Gohan? You are the hero, so you speak." Dende then moved out of the young Saiyans way as Gohan walked up. He looked up at the dragon. He remembered the first time he saw one of the Eternal Dragons it was the Namekian dragon, Porunga. To see this, to see the dragon his father had told him stories of, again and again, it was such a thrill, such an honor to see him up front. He got an excited face.

"Shenron, I wish that everyone that was killed by Cell and the androids were back to life!" He said. He looked back at the body of Future Trunks and saw that indeed the wish worked and Trunks was sitting up. Gohan got a happy smile on his face and turned back to the dragon.

"There, it has been done, everyone killed is now back alive. Now, what is your final wish." Shenron said. Gohan nodded and spoke.

"Shenron I wish that my dad, Son Goku were back alive!" Gohan said, Shenron's eyes glowed red and they soon stopped.

"I am sorry, but the one named Son Goku does not want to be brought back to life. I cannot go against someone's free will." He said. Gohan was heartbroken. His father didn't want to come back? But why? He had a family, a wife, and child. As his tears streamed out he could faintly hear his mother yelling at the dragon to bring his father back. The tears did not go unnoticed by many people, and they felt hurt by Goku's decision. Gohan then felt a slap on his cheek and looked up to see the angry face of his mother. She looked livid.

"You." She said. Gohan put a hand on his cheek in surprise."You did this. It's your fault that your father's dead." She said, punching him in the face. But being as weak as she was Gohan didn't even feel it, he was more of a surprise of his mother's actions than anything.

"Chi-Chi! How dare you hit your own son! Why would you do such a thing?" He could hear Bulma ask. Bulma, a woman that Gohan had a lot of respect for. She was like a second mother to him, someone to looked up to for comfort, and the one woman not afraid to go against his mother. Just then the words she spoke registered in his mind. She blamed him, she blamed everything on him. Why? Why would she do that? He looked up at her and saw that she was still hitting him, her hands washed in her own blood, and murder in her eyes. She truly, utterly hated him. She hated her own son for a simple mistake. Just then a voice sounded in the air.
