Sleep comes like the falling of an axe. I know it must come but I fight it with everything that I have. Those defenceless hours, oblivious to my surroundings are enough to light up my whole body with fiery sparks. I am utterly wired until that time when I cannot fight it anymore and the sleep is as instantaneous as it is unwelcome. I have some warning though, when my thoughts become intertwined with random ideas, impossible ideas, I seek my shelter and wrap in thick bear fur. It could be sometime before I am with the world again. I felt the coldness covers my body, and peace. Peace, no stress nor to worry. I've never slept like a bear before.
"Sakura..Sakura." I talked in my sleep, softly calling her name while sleeping.
The soft sheets felt cold, yet I'm sleeping.
"Ahh! (Y/N)!..F*CK YOU FLAT B*TCH!" A loud and bit of scream called out for (Y/N).
My eyes widen up, and my heart started to race, I glaced around the room not finding Sakura. I felt my palms sweating as my legs starts to tremble. I stood up, opened the door gently while trembling. I took step in stairs, one step, another step, and there was loud scream that came from basement. I stood there stunned. Where's Sakura? I started to walk faster in stairs, when I reached the white marble floor I started to run to the basement. What if Sakura in pain? I thought. I kicked the the oak door with force, with all power I had. The door landed fast, I walked down the dull stairs, there was no sound.
"Sakura you okay?" I said yet my legs trembling in fear. There was noise yet I heard a scream, the basement was cold.
I felt a hug from behind, and it frightened me.
"Hehehe~ you belong to me." Sakura said as she brings her face closer to my neck, her warm breath send me shivers.
"I-i heard a s-scream..." I stuttered, her grip on me was so tight and strong.
"Ohh~" she continues to talk, and leaves me and walks somewhere into the pitch black room, basement.
"I was just doing business. You see no one shall take you away from me..not even them." She said in soothing voice but it felt more like a thread, the room smelt death. I looked around searching the light bottom to turn on. "Uhh." I bumped into stuff while I could feel and hear Sakura's breath in this dark abyss.
"Ha~!" I said while turning on the light.
"Alright Sakura let's go sle--" I said while facing back to Sakura as my eyes dropped into someone familiar.
"E-Elva..w-what..?" I murmed, Elva was stabbed many times, the place was an ocean of blood. Her eyes its not there. I felt my heart raced through my ears, it was loud.
"To protect you, To be with you.." She said with a grin on her immature face, her purple eyes darkened, her blonde hair was a mess it covered her half face..her face..her clothes..it was all covered in crimson colour. I looked over the deadless body, my thoughts begin to run.
Cruel though it sounds, once the light winks out in their eyes they are another carcass to bury. The soul has moved on and we living are left with the task of burial, though with the massive numbers we face it is more akin to disposal. Their limbs, long passed the stage of rigor mortis, loll against one another in the pits. Their greyed flesh is often torn in the process of being moved and their eyes stare at a sky they'll never see. We'd pray for the departed, but all of our energy is spent of the living. Should we find time to get to our knees it will be to plant new crops or clean dirty floors; otherwise it's simply the final stage of exhaustion before we surrender to the necessity of sleep.
I bent down to the body, and bring the rotten body into my embrace. I looked down at it.A scarlet liquid had drenched his white shirt, the light had left his eyes as the colour from his rosy cheeks vanished as if ice had struck him. Alongside him had been a woman’s body, lying limply, her soul departed. Their screams and shrieks echo in my ears to this moment. Sakuras soft hand laid on my shoulders. I didn't dared to look at her, until that I didn't knew I'll get hit by something rough. She hit me. Now I'm laying on the cold floor that is filled with blood.
"You won't leave me!" She exclaimed as I lose myself and faint slowly. The scent of room is getting thicker.
