Burning.
Her muscles feel as if they are turning to liquid, melting with the heat.
Manic laughter echoes through her mind.
Screams. Filled with terror and pain.
Her heart beats fast in her chest. Faster. Faster. So fast she feels as if it will explode. But it continues to beat.
Her arms are lead. Bricks weigh them down. She thrashes against the weight. Kicks her legs and bucks against what is holding her down.
Light flashes behind her eyes, imprints itself against the back of her eyelids, searing white. Relief never comes. Even in darkness it is bright.
Metal bands clamp around her wrists as she screams and thrashes.
Her stomach jolts and she freezes. Everything that she is is burning, burning. Flames course over her body. Tear at everything inside of her. Her throat burns, filled with liquid flames, and she retches. The weight holding her down lifts, turns her to the side. Her body empties itself of the flames, over and over and over until there is nothing left. Finally, darkness comes.
