chapter 7

Makeia POV

It's been a few weeks since Jasmine and Xiumin broke up. She's really good at making her feelings but I've known her for so long I can tell when she's lying.

"Jasmine lets go shopping after school today. It'll be good for you." I poke her chubby cheek as she smiles across the table to Tae.

" what do you mean? I have work today we could go another time." looking a bit confused she looks down then at me and nods.

"You don't have work today is your off day. I know you're still down about." I stop before I even say his name.

Her smile fades away as she looks down fiddling with her long hair.

"I'm not sad. I'm fine okay I don't even care about him." She struggles to say by the time in her voice.

"We should all hang out any way we are all free after school." Tae lifts his hands smiling at everyone at the table.

"Is everyone in?" I question the group.

"It couldn't hurt let's have fun we haven't been out in a while," Youngjae shouts as he laughs.

"C'mon Jaz we should." Tae pokes her side.

"Okay fine but I was supposed to work on my research with Baekhyun." She giggles.

"Jasmine work? That's insane!" Jae teases her.

Jasmine yells bursting into laughter "Shut up I do my work youngjae!"

                          Jasmine POV

"Baek!" I say as I walk to his lunch table.

"Jazz what's up?" He looks up from his food along with the people he's sitting with.

"Well, I wanted to tell you I won't be able to work on the project tonight because my friends wanted me to hang out."

"Are you sure this can't wait another day?" He takes a bite of ramen.

"Your right this project needs to get finished. I'll be headed to your house after school." I nod and begin walking back to the table.

I feel my arm being pulled back as I turn to see what he needs I feel myself losing balance. I close my eyes out of fear. Feeling a sudden jerk in a new direction I feel myself being pulled into an embrace. I open my eyes to see Tae holding me close.

"Minahhh you're so clumsy you need to be more careful." Using his finger to lift my chin to look at him.

I know my face is turning red I feel the blood rushing to my cheeks.

"Jasmine are you okay I didn't mean for you to slip I'm so sorry!" Baekhyun pulls me from Tae to see if I'm okay.

"I was just gonna tell you that I was joking and you can go." He looks at me with worry in his eyes.

"I have to go I remembered something." I begin to run out of the cafeteria.

I run past the table I don't want to look at them I'm too embarrassed and weak so I keep going until I can just find a place to be alone.

Suddenly there are streams of tears pouring from my eyes. I have no idea as to why I just keep crying my body feels so weak and it feels like a cry for help. I was to busy looking down so no one would see me. Until I felt my body fall back.

"Jasmine? Are you okay?" He reaches for me.

"I-I'm fine don..." noticing who it is I try to quickly get up to try and avoid him.

The coldness from the floor is now gone and replaced with a warm embrace.

"Don't hate me anymore please just hear me out. I know I was an asshole to you and I regret it so much.  If you're crying because of me don't because I'm not worth your tears. So please forgive me so I can show you I still care for you and I love you Jasmine."  He hugs me as I can't bring myself to hug him back also while I fight to hold back more tears.

"Xiu I'm okay my head just hurts and I just don't know what to do." I look up to him then look down quickly.

"I'm here you can still trust me jazz." He says with such a sincere voice.

" I want to trust you I really do but I can't talk to you now it's just I don't want to." I pull away from him and begin to walk away as I wipe my tears away.
