"There had been over fourteen reports filed on missing girls all around the state of Colorado for the past two and a half months.

The F.B.I. and the police department are still on the lookout, though, since then, there were countless eyewitnesses, stating they've seen black and white vans stopping by around a few neighborhoods.

Just this morning, there was a report on two missing girls. 'The two were jogging together late last night', a bystander had claimed "

"I hope my point was rightfully made, you aren't going to that party." Venus' father hummed, almost sounding as though he was teasing her, turning the television off.

"Oh, c'mon, Dad!" Venus groaned, her fists slamming against the leather couch. "Be reasonable. Like that would actually happen to me."

"I'm not taking any chances. You're staying here tonight and that's final, Venus." He concluded sternly, furrowing his bushy eyebrows. "Can't you be responsible for once? I'm trying to protect you, I'm not the enemy here."

"Fine, I won't go." She sighed dramatically, uncrossing her arms and sitting next to him on the couch, slouching. "Just stop the lectures!"

"I wouldn't have to lecture if you would do as I tell you to." He replied, but before any further complaints from Venus could fire up, he began speaking once again. "Now, I'm going to sleep. I work early tomorrow." Marley told her, standing up from the couch, stretching, a few joints cracking in the process.

"'night." She mumbled, her eyebrows deeply furrowing, trying to keep her cool.

"Goodnight." He replied, glancing at his daughter one last time before he jogged up the stairs, heading into his bedroom.

Venus sat up, silently hearing him shut the door and lock it, like he always did when he really was going to sleep. She jumped up from her seating position and pulled off her baggy sweatpants, revealing light blue skinny jeans and grabbing the pair of white Karachis from underneath the couch. She decided not to wear lipstick this time and left her iron-curled brunette bob look wild.

What are the chances of them catching me? Of all people? She snorted, running a hand through her hair as she thought, probably one in a million. Even as she thought about it, she felt a strange uncertainty surge through her mind.

She tried ignoring the urging, nerve-wrecking feeling as she grabbed her keys and her rose gold iPhone as silently as she could. Venus quickly and quietly walked out through the front door and ran to the sidewalk after locking up, feeling anxious. Though, she got into her black Nissan and drove to her friend's house, who was hosting the stress-relieving party, without looking back a single time. When Venus got there, she shut the door of her car and locked it. She jogged up to the front door, seeing many neon lights coming from the inside. She excitedly made it through the door, the loud music blasting away, watching as people jumped on top of tables, some were playing pool and others smoking marijuana in the corner.

Now this is my kind of party, she smirked, unintentionally leaving the door wide open.

"Yo, it's Venus!" Someone called out as they handed her a drink in a red solo cup.

"Hey, thanks." She smiled, chugging the drink down as much as she could, some of the clear liquid spilling from the sides of her mouth. Vodka, was it? Venus had thought so, feeling the cheap, unfiltered strawberry alcohol go down her throat, thickly.

"Come on, babe, let's dance!" Some guy with brown curls and gray eyes dragged her along to the dance floor, whether she liked it or not. Though she didn't admit it aloud, she did love the feeling. Venus had more than enough reasoning to enjoy it, she thought the man was cute and tall, fit for a one-night-stand. Mystery boy was wearing dark skinny jeans, black superstar Adidas, and a white T-shirt.
