Avena Garner was the victor of the 68th Hunger Games, from District Nine. Once she won, her life was planned out for her. Attempting to give the tributes from District Nine a fighting chance every year, crying through the games, and drinking for months afterwards watching the . celebrations and the victory tours. Suffer from nightmares from sleeping alone, or spend time with nightmares when sleeping with whomever bid the highest. Under the Capitol's thumb, for the rest of her natural life, or so she thought. 

When she receives a mysterious note which suggests ending the game, she decides to assist. The rebel cause, headed by Plutarch, decides that some distractions are necessary in order to carry out several missions against the Capitol - don't look at this hand, look at that one. One of the distractions being a budding romance between two fan-favorite victors, Avena Garner and Finnick Odair. Although not the largest fan of the plan, Avena was willing to do anything to escape the Capitol's grip. The pair soon found that they had more in common than they expected, and although they weren't lovers, they could possibly be friends.

The Quarter Quell changed everything, and although Avena was determined to enter the arena with no attachments, they both figure out that they might not survive alone...

First story! I am super excited to get this down and share it because this ideas has been bouncing around in my brain for literal months. Watch out: The protagonist is a prostitute, just like Finnick - forced into the job by the Capitol. If this makes any reader uncomfortable, please do not read this story.
