A silhouette hid in the crumbling alleyway. Gripping it's arm tightly in an attempt to numb the piercing pain. One week ago Tord had been in charge of the strongest army known to man. Now he was hiding behind a dumpster, disgusted by the sights around him. Thomas. His old friend. His greatest enemy had defeated him and taking everything he loved. Now he was infected by the same poison as Tord once was: power and strength.

The sky was inked over with pollution; grey, ugly clouds blocked out any blue that lays underneath. Tall building overshadowed the empty, forgotten streets. Graffiti covered walls and pavements: the green, purple and blue rebellion symbols sprayed over by the red army's logo.

Standing up from his hide away, Tord kicked an empty cola van across the road,
"Edd should be near..." he mumbled, pulling his up over his recognisable face.

~Meanwhile with green and purple~

"Matt, get down from the ceiling fan!" The brunette yelled, his voice echoing in the locked apartment.
"I can't!" Matt whimpered, holing on tighter.
"Just jump, I'll catch you." He held his arms out, his green sleeves falling down slightly.
"Promise?"
"Promise."
The purple figure jumped from the roof and landed safely in Edd's arms.
"Told you I'd catch you." He chuckled. After everything that's happened, Matt had still managed to keep his childish attitude and personality.

"Edd?"
"Yeah?" He looked at him in the eye, Matt still awkwardly in his arms.
"Do you miss Tom..?" He muttered, his voice going quiet.
"..." Edd thought. Did he miss Tom? He longed for his old friend back, so they could all go on the adventures they took for granted but seeing what that friend was capable of made him rethink. "Yeah, I miss the old Tom." He answered.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

"Who would that be..?" Matt wondered, walking to the door.
"Matt wait! What if it's Tom?"
"Oh, yeah..."
"Just wait upstairs, I'll grab it." He sighed,
"You sure?"
"Positive, now go." Keeping Matt safe was Edd's priority. He was all he had and he wasn't about to let that go.

Once Matt was safely upstairs, he headed to the locked door. Hesitating before pulling open the piece of wood. He was met with the colour that twisted his gut and pulled at his heart.

"Tord."
"Edd.." his voice was small and weak, his posture was dropped and he had his red hood covering his face.
"What the hell do you think you're doing here!"
"Edd look-"
"No you look. It's your fault Tom buggered off and became all crazy. It's your fault Matt and I live in fear. It's all your damn fault." He furrowed his eyebrows, clenching his fists.
"I- I know and I'm sorry. So very sorry." He whimpered under the greens glare.
"Just- get your pitiful ass inside." He spat, moving out the way of the door. The last thing he needed was Tord giving him and Matt away.

Tord was sat on the couch, looking at his feet. His hood was down showing dull red, twisted scars on the left of his face. A black, pirate like eyepatch covered his left eye and his 'horns' seemed to droop.
"So, an explanation would be nice or are you just going to keep having a staring contest with your boots?" Edd sat down on the blue chair next to him.
"Edd, I need your help."
This statement made the boy choke on his own cola.
"Your kidding right? You really think I'm going to help you after everything you did?"
"I know it's a long shot, but I might know how to get Tom back."
"Wha- this isn't funny Tord."
"I'm not joking. I want the old Tom back as much as you do."
Edd sat forward, resting his head on the palm of his hand that was being held up by the chair arm.
"How would we, you know?"

"Well, here's the thing. Tom needs to capture one of us-"
"What!?"
"Don't worry, you and Matt will be safe. I'll get Tom to capture me, he wants to anyway. And while I'm his prisoner I'll work out his weaknesses and use them to get the old whiteness back."
"Tord, I don't know about-"

The one in red stood up and grabbed Edds hand in his non-damaged hand.
"Edd, I got us into this mess and I'll get us out. Even if it kills me." He whispered softly.
"I still-"
"It'll be ok, trust me."
"That's asking a lot Tord."
"I know, but honestly, this time I literally have nothing to loose." He mumbled bitterly.
"Ok, just for the love of god be safe."
"I promise I will. Thank you." He wrapped one of his arms around Edd who immediately hugged back.

Now all Tord had to do was get captured by his enemy, find his weaknesses, use them against him, get the old Tom back and take control of his army again. Can't be that hard, right?
