Holding his tears back was no longer possible for Alex as he fell on the ground beside the body and let it all flow. The most dreadful moment for anyone is when they lose a loved one, and it was no different for him. As the entire focus was on Alex, it was easy for Bella to slip away from the scene. She went and sat against the slightly worn down wall and started crying. Her life had always been a big mess. She was abandoned by her parents at the age of 7, and she was left with no one. The lack of money hit her hard, and she found no way other than working for the syndicate. She never really knew what it was to be loved, as she always pushed anyone who became close with her away. But it was different with Alex. He was the one guy she found who she could rely on. He made her feel better about herself, and made her a better person. She had loved him for a long time, but never confessed, and now regretted it knowing things could never possibly be the same.

Knowing that her closest friends love was taken away forever by her was a guilt nearly impossible to handle. Having assassinated heartlessly for the syndicate, she had become resilient to the entire scenario, but never had she anticipated a day like this would come. Wiping her tears, she got up and walked over to Alex. Helping him up, she pulled him in and hugged him hard. "She'll get the justice she deserves," Bella said, "I promise that I will find the people who did this to her. Let me take you home."

Bella sat against her sofa, downing in a bottle of vodka. She knew that she had messed up real bad this time. She had killed the girlfriend of her closest friend, and had given the promise of finding the people who got her killed. A promise she knew she could not break. She knew that there was no way she could let Alex find out that she had killed Sabrina. The alcohol was starting to hit her now. She screamed and flung the bottle across the room.  Once that first tear broke free, the rest followed in an unbroken stream. Bella bent forward where she sat on the floor and pressing her palms to the mat, she began to cry with the force of a person vomiting on all fours.

Bella never had any aims in life, or was never too dedicated to anything, but this changed everything. She knew she had gotten a chance to make her life right. She had made irreparable mistakes, something she would never forgive herself for, but she knew she had to make things right now. She owed it to him. She owed it for everything Alex had ever done for her.
