My name is officer maddie I assisted your girlfriends case today we are here to notify you that she has been in a car accident she is stable and on her way to the hospital .I drop my controller and grab my wallet and keys and bolt out the door the officer drives in front of me to make sure I get there safely I find my parking spot next to a red honda civic I lock up my car and run up to the hospital were the nurse is waiting for me to escort me to cassie's bedside.she is so pale her once pink cheeks are now whiter than a ghost the smile that would brighten up her face had faden away she was ice cold and as I held her hand I started to cry why her why me I don't know how long I had sat there before the nurse came in with a tray of food I shook my head and she went away with the tray .

It's been three days since cassie got into the car accident my hand is holding hers as I sleep lightly beside her the heart monitor beeping in the background .It's about four in the morning when I feel the gentle squeeze of her hand I look up and she looks up at me with her blue eyes and tries to talk but can't find her voice I shush her and stroke back the hair that is in her face and tell her it's okay that I am here she looks from me to the monitor then back at me and takes a heavy breath the nurse pokes her head in and says oh look who is awake comes in to make sure she is doing fine but then stops and darts out the room and re enters with the doctor they tell me that I need to go wait in the waiting room . why I ask because she has internal bleeding and we need to get her to surgery I fall to my knees and cry I never thought of how far it would go or that she might die and know that it is here she is gonna be in the grasp of death .It is about eight hours after they pushed her into surgery that the doctor came out to me and told me she is stable now and that I should go home that my family is probably worried about me I grab my phone and head out to my car the red Honda that was parked next to my Volvo is still there I am wondering if it belongs to the person who hurt my Cassie never mind I wipe the thought as fast as it came through .I am just pulling into the driveway when I see my mom in the window she runs outside before I am able to shut the car door and hugs me I am so sorry Demetire I am so sorry I look at her with confusion and ask what is she talking about she said the doctor called and told her about Cassie .oh I say ya me to If I had been there she would be fine.

I awake with the alarm I think about skipping school my mind was on Cassie and if she was okay. I am in third period when I am pulled out of class by the physical education teacher she told me that I am being requested at the hospital right away .My note book hits the floor and the world around me became one and I was alone and had one mission .I arrive at the hospital and her family is there along with half of mine waiting for me .She has gotten worse my mom says as I get closer .

I stay with Cassie that night for fear that she would die before I could come back and see her I slept in the arm chair next to her .She looked like death it self and I wanted to rip out my heart and give her life with it she looked as if she had less than a day in her yet two months ago she was laughing and smiling and my baby .Now she has no color at all to her face and is ice cold.The next two days are hard Cassie's family comes by and sits with me as we wait for her to get out of testing once she is out the doctor informed us that she needs a transfusion in two hours .That is if she make's it two hours he said with a sad voice .Then walked into the next room to check the next patient .I walk in and sit down next to her grab her hand and tell her dont you dare give up on me I love you and dont want to lose you I sit there with her until the doctor come in to check her vitals and walks out to write them down .
