"Annnd we're here, time to start your new life baby sister."Sarah looked out the window looking at the gray-scale castle-like structure of Winchester University. It was elaborate and one of the best colleges in Washington D.C, with its gorgeous landscape and flowerbed in the middle of the field to spell out the universities name. There was an iron wrought gate that only opened by a security system and once you pass through the gates, you would be led through a curved, paved road that would lead to the twenty steps of the double ebony doors.
"Mckenzie . . . I think, I think I've changed my mind. I don't think I'm ready for this." Sarah looked away from her window, where she saw several students walking up the stone steps, and looked over at her sister in the drivers seat. "Maybe I can help you and James with the baby."
Mckenzie turned around and furrowed her brow at her sister, her lips turned into an upturn frown. "Uh, no. Sarah you are not throwing your life away for god damn, Ronnie. It's about him isn't it?"
Sarah's eyes looked away from her sister and down at her dark red toenail polish. The dark red polish would always remind Sarah of the call the other night from Ronnie:
Yesterday, 9:34 pm - The Dandry Residence
The girls, Mckenzie and Sarah, were laughing and giggling about something they had on television. Sarah could hardly breathe as her sister went on to do an impression of one of their favorite scenes from a movie. Once the movie was over, Mckenzie got out her nail/spa kit and began to give her sister a pedicure.
"Well, I'm going to miss this," Sarah cooed as she laid back into the tan throw pillows and closed her eyes, she opened one eye to see her sister looking at her with a funny look.
"Hey, don't get used to this. I just want you to have nice feet, you don't want all those college freshmen and seniors to think you have ugly feet."
Sarah playfully stuck up her middle finger.
"I don't think my feet is priority, Kens."
"Yeah, until someone sees your ashy feet when you get out the pool. Trust me guys will take notice of that, you think they don't but they love women with good feet. Shows they can take care of themselves."
Sarah rolled her eyes. "Well, I won't have to worry about guys because I have Ronnie. I've already set out our itinerary; he'll be coming to visit two weeks after i'm settled in."
"And here I thought you would leave that childish asshole be. Sarah he's not even going to college, he's going to stay here and work in his dad's automobile shop."
"Well . . . College isn't for everyone, Kens. If I didn't get lucky with this scholarship, I probably would have got a job at the diner, helped you and the baby out. Besides James didn't go to college and look how well off he became. He now works as an executive or something to some bank?"
