Long Time Ago...

In a remote village in South korea called Bukchon Hanok, there lived a very poor farmer who married a trader. They had no child for seventeen years untill they finally met this herbalist who...gave them the solution to their problem.

"You are soulmates but someone is stopping you from giving birth because the child has a great future. She is hidden at the bottom of the willow tree."

"Willow tree? By who?"

"By Shi-Shi...The spirit of the air."

"Where can we find this willow tree?" Hyoje frowned.

"You'll both have to travel...Untill you cross seven rivers, climb seven Valley... Just then, you'll find the willow tree at the east, where the sun sets. You'll ask the tree whatever you want."

"Ok...Thanks a lot."

"But! Be careful. You mustn't kill any animal you find wether harmful or harmless nor should you eat nor drink, whether unpoison nor poisonous."

The Next Day...

The couple set on their journey to search for the unknown willow tree. They packed some clothes and blankets since they were asked not to eat or drink anything. Early in the morning before sunrise, they embark on the journey to meet the willow tree.

They did exactly what the old herbalist asked of them. Walking through the seven rivers and seven Valley. It was the fourteenth day, the weak couple started moving east. They preferred trying all their best in the forest alone than living childless. It wasn't a pride but a shame. A big SHAME!

Three days after walking east, They met the mighty willow tree. Facing exactly where the sunsets.

The couples tiredly kneels in front of the tree. Pleading, crying and asking it to give them a child.

Suddenly, a wild breeze started blowing from nowhere. The couples held themselves close together, then it's branches blew in form of a beautiful lady.

"Why do you need a child?"

"To take over us, as we've taken over our parents. To be called parents. Shi-Shi, Please give us our child."

"Years ago, I came in form of am old man and asked both of you to help me. You paid no attention because you both were busy, preparing for your wedding.. You pushed me way and laughed at me. That was why I decided to make you sad... Not to enjoy the fruit of marriage."

"Why, Shi-Shi.... It wasn't our fault."

"I've enslaved your children and they're working for me. You both are destined to have Six children. Three boys and three girls but now, I'd release one... Pick one stone out of those!" She pointed to Six rocks placed together.

Hyoje Isang went and carried one.

"Take it home, boil it for exactly Seven hours, seven minutes and seven seconds. Hyoje! ... You should take seven tea spoons every seven hours for seven days. On the seventh day.. You would go close to your husband and then... You'd become pregnant."

"Thanks a lot Shi-Shi." The couple greeted and finally turned back. She asked them to close their eyes. Shi-Shi blew breeze to them and they got home within seven seconds. They did exactly what Shi-Shi asked of them.

Nine Months Later....

Bada gave birth to a beautiful baby girl called Ara meaning beautiful, elegant and knowledgeable.

Seven days after her birth, Shi-Shi paid them a visit.

Bada was scared... She knows Shi-Shi might come with something terrible that would harm her daughter.

"Why the long faces. You visited me in my own house... I gave you a child. Is it wrong if I visit?" She carried the baby and smirked, looking deep into her beautiful black eye.

"I bless you with the gift of obedience!" Shi-Shi blew air from her mouth to Ara's cute face. She immediately started crying. She raised the baby and roared out laughing, wickedly.

"Shush sweety, you're with Shi-Shi... now, smile." She stared deeply into her eyes.

"Hihihihii..." Little Ara laughed.

Hyoje Isang her father and Bada Chan-Hyeok her mother loved and cared for her. Hyoje never allowed her to work on farm neither did Bada. She didn't allow her trade or do any house chores.
