Chapter 6

After Taehyung leaves, you head straight to bed. Feeling tired, you fall asleep instantly.

You wake up and grin. It's Friday.
"Finally," you mumble, getting out of bed and getting dressed for school.

You make breakfast and as the kettle is boiling, you touch the purple necklace hanging around your neck. You realise that it is probably Gucci.

The kettle boils, and you make your coffee. Sipping it, you think of Taehyung. It hasn't even been twenty four hours since you officially became a couple. You know, deep down, that eventually it will be outed that you are dating a kpop idol.

You finish getting ready and head off to school. You see B/F/N standing outside the gates, smiling at you.
"So, how was your evening?"
"Good," you answer, remembering that last night, you went and got yourself a boyfriend.

"I finished that book yesterday, so I feel so accomplished," B/F/N says.
"Good job!" you say. "Are you going to read the sequel?"
"There is a sequel?!" B/F/N asks.
"Yeah," you say.
"I am definitely not reading it," B/F/N says. "That book was the death of me."
You laugh.

The school bell rings, and you walk to your firsr class. Sadly, B/F/N is not in it, so you sit by yourself in the back.

A new boy walks into the room. You can tell he is definitely a westerner like you. As the only available seat is next to you, he walks to the back and sits down with you.
"Hi," you say.
He looks at you shyly. "Hey."

A/N - This is a character I am making up. He is completely made up.

"What's your name?" you ask in English, unsure if he can speak Korean.
"Brayden," he says.
"I'm Y/N," you say. "Do you speak Korean?"
"A little," he says in English. "Just the basic stuff."

You nod. "Well, you'll pick it up pretty fast. Are you an exchange student?"
"Yeah," Brayden says. "Are you?"
"No. I've lived here for about three years now," you say.
"That's cool," says Brayden.

At lunch, you invite Brayden to sit with you and B/F/N.
"Alright!" he says. He follows you to the cafeteria where you sit down at your usual table with B/F/N.
She looks up from her phone. "Hey
Y/N." She looks at Brayden. "Who is this?"
"An exchange student," you say.

"For once, I'm glad I became fluent in English," B/F/N says. "I'm B/F/N."
"Brayden," he says, sitting down opposite you and B/F/N.

"How long are you over here for?" you ask.
"Just one year. My parents refused to have me stay any longer than that. I'm just glad they even let me come here for a year," Brayden says.
"Right," B/F/N says. "Nothing that interesting has ever happened to me."
'Something interesting happened to me,' you think to yourself as you remember Taehyung asking you to be his girlfriend.

"I'm sure something interesting will happen to you soon enough," Brayden says. "Well, depending on your definition of interesting, of course."
B/F/N laughs.

You smile. It seems that B/F/N is liking Brayden. Not in the like like way, but as a friend.
"I'm so ready to go home and enjoy my weekend," B/F/N says.
"Same here," you say.
"Hey, Y/N?"
"Yeah?" you ask B/F/N.
She normally doesn't ask that question, except for when she is wondering about something.

"You've been really happy lately. Like, really happy. Happier than usual. It makes me wonder..."
You wait for her to continue, hoping she isn't about to say what you think she is.
"It makes me wonder if you're seeing someone. I'm definitely not saying it's a bad thing, but I'm just curious. Are you?"
