Chapter 14

A year and a half later...

"Bye Eomma! I'll be back soon!"
"Have fun, Y/N. Behave," she says.
You hug her. "I will."

You and Taehyung decided to go on a camping trip for the weekend as a way to celebrate your high grades in your exams. Taehyung is already outside, waiting in the car for you. You go outside with your duffle bag and put it in the boot of the car before getting into the front seat.

"You ready?" Taehyung asks you.
"Yep!"
For your one year anniversary, Taehyung had taken you out to dinner and then to a small ice cream  parlor in the middle of the city. It was a small gesture, but you appreciated it so much.

The camping ground is an hour drive away. For the entire hour, you and Taehyung talk and sing along to the songs that play on the radio.

"I can't believe Sejin let you have the entire weekend off so we could go camping."
"Honestly, I can't either," Taehyung says. "But I'm glad he did."
"Me too," you say.

You arrive at the campground, so Taehyung parks the car and the two of you climb out and get your things from the boot.
"I've never slept in a tent before," you say, getting excited.
"Really?"
"Nope."
"It's fun," Taehyung says. "Trust me."
"I do."

You help Taehyung set up the tent. It's harder than it looks, so he does most of of it. He doesn't mind, though. Once the tent is set up, you notice that the sun is setting.
"Friday night campfire time!" Taehyung says.

You help him make a small fire in the fire pit in front of your tent. It is inside a square of logs, which is where you sit once the fire is lit. Taehyung takes a seat next to you.

"I'm so glad I have you, Y/N," he says.
You rest your head on his shoulder. "I love you, Snowflake," you whisper.
You sense Taehyung is smiling. "I love you too, Princess."

You smile. Princess is the nickname Taehyung started calling you a few months ago. At first, you weren't too sure if you liked it, but slowly the pet name grew on you. You also started calling Taehyung by the pet name of Snowflake. When he asked you why, you had replied by saying you simply thought it was cute.

Taehyung didn't argue about the pet name, so now it just stuck.
"I came prepared and brought marshmallows," you say.
"Really?" Taehyung asks, getting excited.
You nod and pull a pack of marshmallows from your bag.

The two of you search around your campsite for sticks to use so you could roast the marshmallows. In the end, the two of you found a stick each. You threaded a marshmallow onto it and held it close to the fire. Soon, it was cooked. You fed it to Taehyung with a grin on your face.

He ate it and gave you a thumbs up before feeding you the one he was roasting. You eat it and laugh when Taehyung shoves a handful of marshmallows into his mouth. You watch with an amused expression as he struggles to eat them all.

"That'll teach you not to eat so many at once," you say.
Taehyung shrugs. "Oh well. It was tasty."
You laugh and roast another marshmallow before eating it.

Taehyung starts roasting a marshmallow, but it catches fire. He shouts in surprise and hurriedly pulls it away from the fire to blow it out. You are practically rolling on the floor from laughing too much.

"Aw," he says, genuinely disappointed. "It's burnt."
You laugh. "The inside will be tasty, though."
Taehyung rips the outside off and eats the inside. He gives you a thumbs up.
"Told you," you say.
