When it started to get dark, they decided to head back to town. Hazel turned her cane into a bow and quiver and strapped it to her back. Hazel had enough balance to be able to push Amber so she could relax. As they walked, they continued to talk. They discussed how frustrating it was to have to wear the bands that showed their disabilities and how annoying it was to be treated differently. They also discovered they had the exact same birthday.

She pushed Amber to the little hotel where her parents were staying. She wanted them to meet Amber and see that there were more people in the kingdom that had disabilities, besides Hazel. She wanted to change the ancient rules and give more freedom to the disabled.

The guards were so relieved to see the Princess. They had been searching for her most of the day and had been so confused as to why her tracker had fallen on a random lady.

The King and Queen were also very relieved to see Hazel. When they saw Amber, the Queen instantly felt like she knew her. After quizzing Amber about her background, the King finally explained why they had been visiting so many towns. Hazel was born as a twin. The babies were born early and the smallest baby, who they had named Amber, had died at birth. Later, word broke that the baby hadn't actually died. The doctor had taken the baby away because he thought having two small, sickly babies would be bad for the Kingdom. Their trips were really search parties to find their stolen baby.

The Queen started to cry. She knew they had found their Amber. After almost 18 years of searching, their family was finally whole again. Hazel finally understood why her parents had been so overprotective. As a 18th birthday present, the King removed the requirement for the disability bands and gave Hazel and Amber their own division of Warriors with Disabilities.
