"Dakota come down here please I need to tell you something!"
"Ok?"
Grabbing my phone I roll out of bed and start walking down the stairs towards the living room. "What was it you had to tell me?" I ask
"Dakota we're moving."
"Oh that's cool moving where down the road or something?"
" No Hun, we're moving to California."
"Momma what do you mean we're moving to California!"
"Dear we have to your dad got transferred and offered more money and you know how bad we are struggling to get by it was opportunity we couldn't refuse. I know how much you love living here in our small town and trust me I love it to but we need to do this." said my mom
"Ok I guess that's a good enough reason but when exactly are we leaving?"
"Tomorrow so I suggest that in the morning you go tell your friends goodbye and start packing tonight."
"Yes ma'am."
Little did I know that it would be a while before I ever get to see my small town again.
