It was happening. The ritual. The blood oath. The taking of The Child's soul.
It was almost 3 am. Deshaun and I were in the basement where The Child was tied up. I hugged Deshaun and said, "Are you ready?" He nodded in response. I walked to the crying boy tied in the middle of the bloodstained room. "Shhhh, don't cry.." I said to him. I grabbed the knife from Deshaun. The boy cried harder.
Deshaun got the book and chanted the words. "ASHVDFYCKGVUJHGCFX. EGYBRDHVGAEM." The boy's eyes went white. I slit his throat and he bled out. His screams would have been heard for miles and miles, but the room was soundproofed.
I grabbed the body and took a bite. Ah, nothing like young, fresh, blood. I passed the boy to Deshaun and he took a bite. I could see the satisfaction in my love's eyes.
"Are you here, Master?" Deshaun asked as he wiped the blood from his mouth. I looked around the room and saw nothing.
"Good job" could be heard from the vent...
